As a UK fan I hope Satterfield stays at UL forever. If I was a UL fan I would be praying to the college football Gods that Satterfield goes to Duke or anywhere else.

All very good points. It is a fun "what if" to play. I just hope it doesn't happen as I am a huge Stoops fan. Mike Leach would be interesting. He sure is entertaining, has been at UK before, and the AirRaid was a fan favorite.

I think Mitch Barnhart looks at things a little differently than going after a big name that has floated around college football. If you look at the Stoops hire, Mark wasn't necessarily a big up and coming name in college football but more of a personality. He had the name, yes; but more because of his brother than anything. I think Mitch would want someone to embrace the "back against the wall" and "why not us" attitude that Stoops has instilled in the program. With that said, I think a few names to consider are: 1. Luke Fickell - Luke seems to be a "lunch pail" guy that would fit in to the culture that Stoops has created. UC fans can laugh at this idea all they want, but facts are facts and the new and short lived Big 12 is nothing special; resources at UK compared to UC are night and day, and the ceiling at UK is so much higher than UC. Plus Lexington is close enough to suit Mrs. Fickell. Strong recruiter. 2. Scott Frost - Great coach. Very strong recruiter. Nebraska will probably let him go because of their absurd expectations for a program who hasn't done anything significant in 20+ years. Scott will be highly motivated and has that "lets get to work: attitude. 3. Neal Brown - Obviously has the UK connection and has done some solid things at WVU and I would hope that he would do even better with the resources available to him at UK. I have always gotten the impression that Neal left UK in order to run his own program to build his resume to be the HC at UK. I would guess that he wants this job BAD! 3. Liam Coen - His offensive mind is clearly on another level. I would be willing to debate that he has been one of the best OC in the country this year, all things considered. I haven't seen anything at UK close to his offensive development since Hal Mumme. I know it is not fair to him for me to say, but I worry about his lack of HC experience and running a program the size of UK. I truly hope Stoops does not leave. However, if he does, there are going to be coaches jumping to get this job. Great money. Recent success to continue recruiting. Great boosters. Realistic expectations. Awesome area to live. Very underrated job IMO.

Not wasting any time! Congrats to Coach Lucas. I like how quickly SK moved with this hire as it allows for Coach Lucas to put his stamp on the program for an entire offseason.

IMO Lickert is chasing a title(s) to boost his resume to hopefully get the HHS job at some point. A title at NCC is far easier than SK. Like @Jack of all Tradessaid, a title at SK probably isn’t ever happening but you can still win a lot of games. I don’t know Barth all that well or even his history, so when I ask this, I am not taking a shot at him. What has he done at WV to make you think he should be the first choice?

I could definitely see that being the case. I can also understand how you could view Dixie as the best job in Kenton Co. I have always felt like they vastly underachieve; going all the way back to Spritzky.

I just had some time to watch his highlight tape. Really impressive player. I love the way he catches; always with his hands and doesn’t let the ball get into his body. He also does a great job of high pointing the ball and using his body to shield defenders. Pretty shifty in the open field and great acceleration. I could see him playing a slot type role at the next level; similar to Charles Walker that UK had a year or two ago.

Thank you for answering my question. If, and it sounds like it is a big if, Kenton Co continues to be open enrollment, then SK is THE public job in Kenton Co and one of the best in NKY. They have facilities, their at the top academically in Kenton Co. public, and have had recent success. However, if open enrollment changes, I think SK, and honestly, Dixie and Scott return to very mediocre programs.

I agree, mostly, with you. However, Newport was doing pretty well before BW showed up. Between the disaster that was the end of his tenure at HHS and then this year at Newport, I think his resume too a hit. I truly wish that Brian would have stayed at Beechwood as the DC. He was phenomenal at that role and anyone who says otherwise is ignorant. A year or two away from being a head coach and reflecting on what worked and didn’t work when he was a HC I think would have gone a long way.

If he would have played his cards right and been the DC at Beechwood rather than contributing to the dumpster fire at Newport, it would not have surprised me if Brian Weinrich would have been a top candidate for this job.

Not necessarily a different meat, but both sides of my family are Italian; all four grandparents right off the boat. Both sets of grandparents and by extension, my parents, are very steeped in the tradition of having a big Italian dinner before the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Antipasto first, usually a soup second, then usually ziti, lasagna, or spaghetti with Italian sausage/meatballs. There is usually a small turkey with some traditional sides after but the vast majority of it goes home with everyone as leftovers.

2014 Dixie could qualify for this list. They ended up getting rolled by Trinity in the championship game, however.

Love these too. My favorite is the organized crime one based on the original Sin City in Newport.

Working my way through this. The TV series Bosh is based on this. Really great.

Congrats to Coach Jackson. I am interested to see if he pulls any assistants from Male with him. Sounds like DeSales is getting a good one.

Morehead is not D1 they are FCS. Totally different level of football than FBS and you know that. I forgot about Seth Hope at Cornell. Figgins was never offered while at HHS and did not graduate from HHS.
