After everything Owensboro lost, they have been super impressive the first two weeks. I don’t care if they start 0-2 or not, they are going to be a tough out when it matters.

Taylor was up 32-3 last I heard. Making the drive back from John Hardin, so unable to keep score updates going.

Taylor leads at the half, 20-3. Bardstown has moved the ball up and down the field, but had two turnovers and a missed field goal. One of the turnovers being a pick 6 for Taylor. I expect this to end in a very tight score, as Bardstown has figured out they just need to load the entire box and make Taylor throw the ball. If Bardstown can fix the turnovers, this one is gonna be a fun finish. I also must give Taylor some credit, they have looked much better and played the way I expected they would last week.

I’ve only seen Cortez twice on video, so I won’t attempt to say I’ve seen him enough to know for sure, but Peyton Smith is the real deal. If he’s better than Smith, he’s top tier D1. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Smith end up at a bigger D1 school when it’s all said and done.

Peyton Smith would have close to 200 yards rushing already if that run wasn’t called back. He has got to be the best Junior back I’ve seen in the entire state.

Taylor has come out and given the ole Proverbial punch in the mouth and is running it right at Bardstown and is having massive success. Taylor leads 14-0 in the first.

Give me Bardstown. I’m just not sold on Taylor County getting it together. Taylor can’t seem to play an entire game without getting 4-5 personal fouls and multiple big plays against them. I think Bardstown will out big play them and win. Bardstown in a final of 35-21.

I think the score will be something like 21-7 or 28-14, but the Ricks will lead the entire game and it will feel as if they never had a chance to lose this game.

He is. The steps taken forward by the junior and freshman class that are now seniors and sophomores has been a big one, along with the development of QB Hodges, would have made it fun to see what this team would have done with him. The Dragons are blessed with two great backs in Seymour and Bale, who both had big roles last year and are going to step right into that role and keep it running well.

I’m not sure what to expect from this game. The Dragons would most likely be the favorite on paper, but I’m not sure they are. The Dragons have issues stopping a big physical back and teams that run it right at them, which is exactly what John Hardin is going to do. If they control the clock and get a few stops in this game, I think they could win this ball game. The Dragons need to establish the run and hit some big passes over the top of the defense and win in the trenches. if they do that, give me the Dragons with a 34-21 type game.

Has BG ever given up 800 yards of offense before? If so, I can’t remember it happening during my lifetime.

I think Barren is better than most people think. They just blanked a semi solid Metcalfe County team 30-0 in a dominating performance. Metcalfe isn't even close to last year, but they aren’t a terrible team either. Barren was very solid that entire game. With that said, I saw Manuel in a scrimmage game and they are big and fast. QB Is erratic throwing the football at times, but that running game is for real. The RB for them is a hard man to bring down and runs hard, so give me Manuel by 2-3 TDs as well.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BG defense get shredded like this. Also not sure I’ve ever seen a better opening for a player than Hensley has for LCA. He has over 200 rushing yards and 7 Tds.

You called that one. Not sure you expected it to be one play, but you nailed it.

You have got to be kidding me. I don’t know I’ve seen a game like this. Just pure insanity. A blast to watch.

This is like watching a heavy weight fight with each one landing bombs and neither going down. What a great game.

First off, congrats to Mercer. They played hard, and wanted this game and it showed. Now as a bystander watching from the stands, this Taylor team started this season the same way it ended last year, with an ugly performance. The Taylor faithful won’t be happy with this result.

Campbellsville is for real. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in a semi final game. With some luck with who they draw for the semi final, they could make that game very competitive as well.

It’s mind boggling how a team like Taylor can’t get it together. Entirely too much talent on that team to be playing like they are. Taylor is undisciplined and the play calling is terrible. You have athletes every where on the field and they run the bone offense. It’s absolutely insane to me to see them be this bad with that much talent.

Hart with a long pass and two runs later they push it into the end zone. Hart goes for two and gets it. Hart leads 37-22 with 6:47 left in the fourth.
