Total score won’t crack 21. Highlands was given a TD in the last game apparently so I am going with 10-7 CCH. Championships are won on Defense

Just curious what that means! (Peaking at the right time). Won 2 of last 7games. This class 5 A is wide open. Let’s keep in perspective what each team looks like each week. None of them look good. Cooper is more explosive than any of them. Covcath has only shown 5 plays it seems all year. Conner seems to be the worst of the 4. Highlands is the biggest wild card as they are still moving pieces around. Can’t wait for next 3 weeks.

What we are witnessing this season at covcath actually is remarkable. They are proving that without passing they can still win. Without changing the plays they can still win. At this point who even knows what is going on each Friday with the Colonels. I would said this. I feel bad for the team that Eddie pulls off the curtain on. It won’t be qb sneak after qb sneak. You guys don’t honestly think they are only practicing draw right. Sadly no one has stopped it yet after Cooper and highlands stacks the box. What we have seen is 3 qb’s multiple running backs, solid line play, tough defense and blank. You know the play and still pulling out W’s. Wait til they get to the second and third play sheet. Eddie is not a rookie and he has proven he is no dummy. Time will tell. Or, he is just getting to the end and playing to get to next year. As competitive as he is. I can’t wait til playoffs.

Only played in 2 games according to the stat sheets. Looked on KHSAA and seems like he had about 20 catches in 2 years.

Regardless they missed it. He was looking right at the play and missed it. No dig at an official. The white hat missed it. Could have dictated the game. Hats off to the officials but he missed it plain as day.

Maybe for another thread. What are the season projections for top 4 teams in 3 years? 9th 12th Campbell? 7-1 3-7 Highlands? 6-2. 8-2 ryle? 8-1 8-2 Beechwood? 9-0. 9-1 Not sure if this year’s wins and loses are accurate. Curios what the 3 year prediction looks like for everyone.

Campbell should merge teams with Brossart. Not sure how many more years that you can be in 6A and only beat a single A team each year. Painful to watch. Discipline is really bad on the team and just don’t seem to click at all. Seem very lazy. However Ryle’s kicker played well. She will be a deadly weapon come playoff time.

SK is on a down year it seems. Campbell is not relevant at all and has not been for years. Boone is a work in progress that is just starting to work on progress. Highlands will get there. Just not seeing it for at least 2 years. Highlands has talent but I feel the fans just can’t wait for the development to take place.

Agree. I was told some are 8th graders. If so they should transfer to Beechwood and work with the line coach there.

Any chance the Campbell County freshman could compete with the varsity? Also Highlands linemen are big enough to play on varsity. Why not bring those big kids up to help them on defense upfront. Just a thought. Was reading on another thread they had no defense line.

If CovCath plans on making a run it better find an offense. QB keep is not an offense. Cooper put 9 in the box and never adjusted to 4 wide. Daring CovCath to throw. Freddy D will destroy that play if that’s what the playbook remains. No creativity and a very predictable play sheet as of now. Holtz kid has to play defense if he is not playing on offense. Was one of the better defensive players last year. He was not mentioned but twice Friday night. Played 2 snaps and believe he had 2 turnovers. Not sure what’s happening but someone needs to figure it out.

The sad thing about this whole thread is Beechwood has a ton of talent. The only person people are talking about is a player that already walked in graduation. Best player and biggest difference maker is the Berger kid. He is a game changer. Cam is as good as he is because the plays are called to make him shine. Not his teammates. That’s reality.

What shot was taken? This thread is about how good Beechwood’s defense is playing and who could possibly score on them. If shots are being fired it’s at all the teams beechwood is playing and how bad they are. The other things you mention I have no idea what your talking about. You are clearly way more connected than anyone I know.

So basically we are saying the first 3 teams they played were that bad or is Beechwood that good? So safe to say the first 3 wins for the 5th year tigers were against poor opponents. SK scores and more than once.

I am hearing Benke is out yet again. Zion is a must start both ways. His explosiveness is needed badly on stagnant drives. Dixie is still loaded with talent. Plus they have a 3 star lineman upfront.

Dixie is loaded. They should be very fun to watch as long as the staff can keep them going forward.
