  1. Ask LCA’s coaches. They have the blueprint for stopping Xavier Brown.
  2. LCA Xavier Brown: 10 for 66 Jay Emerson: 6 for 44 Drew Nieves: 6 for 18 Jeremiah Riffle: 3 for 8 Rest: 4 for -16 Beechwood Cameron Hergott 29 for 161 Mitchell Berger: 12 for 60 Net: Beechwood: 277 LCA: 258 Time of Possession: Beechwood: 30:45 LCA: 17:15
  3. Congratulations to both teams. It was a great game and a great night to wear Red and White.
  4. Certainly not the biggest Cinderella, but in 1993, Beechwood started the year 2-3, and lost the regular season District Championship to New Cath. The Tigers finished not even ranked in the top 10 of the final AP poll, and in the playoffs, beat #5 Paris in the 2nd round, #2 New Cath in the 3rd round, #4 Pikeville in the semis, and #1 ranked, and heavy favorite Bardstown, in the finals, to finish 11-3.
  5. Cooper, Dixie, and Conner had at least one as far as I know. Not sure about any of the other schools in NKY.
  6. Not really, it’s just funny how when Beechwood does it, it’s the end of the world, when in fact, several teams have more players than Beechwood has. Russellville has 7 of 8 seniors from last year that came back. Cov Cath also beat at least 3 teams in NKY that had players that did it, but no complaining about those guys because CCH beat those teams.
  7. Surprised to not see any CCH fans complaining about Woodford County having 8 reclassified players, including 1 senior. They must only complain when it’s Beechwood that does it.
  8. If you’re saying pull the starters as soon as the game reaches a running clock or don’t send them back out after halftime in a blowout, then Beechwood would likely go 7 weeks without the starters playing more than a half (last 4 of the regular season and first 3 of the playoffs). The starters are then expected to flip a switch that hasn’t been flipped in nearly 2 months and be ready for a 4 quarter battle in the semifinals?
  9. Is he the only player in the state, or NKY for that matter that has done it?!
  10. I could care less if Geisler is eligible or not, and could care less about either team involved in this game. I was simply pointing out the transfer rules as they are stated by the KHSAA. He may have received a waiver, if so good for him. Glad to see you are still bitter about Cam leaving Highlands to come to Beechwood.
  11. With the playoffs being pushed back as late as they were last year, and CCH going to the semi finals, I would think that it would be almost impossible for Geisler to be eligible to play in the playoffs at any point. I believe a player must sit out one full calendar year from the date of their last varsity competition.
  12. How about the other 15 times between 1998-2013 that Dale scored 70+ points in a game!!! Including over 80 twice, but please Highlands guy, condemn Beechwood for the one time they crack the 70 mark. Next time they can take a knee on their PATs so that they don’t offend you.
  13. They have a freshman lineman that comes up to kickoff during JV games. He doesn’t dress on Friday nights to kick. They go for two after TDs as well. The starting kicker handled kickoffs all game long against NCC. As far as the PATs go, the starting team came out twice during JV action in the third quarter to do PATs, after they had been standing on the sideline for a bit. They had two bad snaps on consecutive tries that led to the holder, a starting WR, rolling around and throwing it into the end zone on one try and the other getting stopped short and hit pretty hard. I’m going to venture to say that Coach Rash wisely decided to not send his starters back out there after the second bad snap so that no one got injured in sloppy weather conditions on pointless PATs. Again, let’s move on.
  14. You know--and the more I think about it -- its kind of sad that Beechwood will be living in so many heads rent free for the next several years. I guess the good thing is -- all of the complainers will have an easy, built in excuse every time Beechwood wins. If that helps people sleep at night -- knock yourselves out!
  15. Woah! Hold up -- who is saying that kids at Beechwood were told to re-classify? Before I go off on the inevitable tangent -- did you hear these stories from Beechwood parents --- and better yet -- parents of kids who are taking advantage of the re-class year? Or parents of kids who didn't want to re-class? If you are willing to put something out there like this -- you better be able to come to the table with facts as opposed to putting something out there like this. This is the kind of thing that crosses the line. If you aren't willing to put it out here in public ... then send me a PM. And if you aren't willing to do that -- then welcome to the world of questioned credibility. The head coach made it clear -- that he was not going to be part of the decision making process for these situations -- it was 100% family decision that the family had to make. I can tell you for an absolute fact with FIRST HAND knowledge -- that what you put out there isn't true. And seriously -- if it is something that you heard and don't know to be true -- you may want to stop and think about what you are doing. This thread is worth its weight in gold -- running up the score, questioning the character of good people, putting outlandish lies out there, petty jealousy from adults -- makes me want to throw up.
  16. I agree. Maybe less Twitter posts about meeting college coaches and more game prep.
  17. I don’t get to see them play but follow their social media stuff and see highlights online but with all of the talent they have every year, how is FD not dominant? Is it coaching?
  18. Yep -- Beechwood playing by the rules set forth by the state -- I could see where that would be unpopular with someone from Cov Cath. I am sure I could come up with more -- but at this point -- I would say your work speaks for itself.
  19. No offense -- but were you there? So this begs the question -- should the Beechwood 2nd, 3rd, 4th string guys try NOT to score? Disappointed in Coach Rash and Coach Baugh? That's rich. Thought better of both of them? Oh--I get it -- so Coach Rash has spent an entire career NOT running up the score. You read some things on a message board -- and how dare they offend you. I have a feeling they will both sleep fine tonight --not to mention -- 16 years of doing everything possible to not run up the score -- for you to be "disappointed in them both" after reading something you were not even around to see. Way to trounce the good name of good men who have done things right for a LONG time. I get it though -- read something on a messageboard and suddenly those great men aren't so great. Even if they did run up the score (they DIDN'T) -- how do these two men not get the benefit of the doubt? I guess all that history doesn't mean all that much? I would see your point if this was something that has happened even one other time in the past few seasons -- but instead -- lets go ahead and make a judgement on the Beechwood. I notice you did not question NCC's brilliant strategy of giving up points for free -- which then result in more points, or the fact that NCC put their self in lousy spots all night. But -- I get it -- it's Beechwood's fault that they didn't just lay down flat on the field so NCC could save some face.
  20. Beechwood scrimmaged Boone for a few years early in Coach Rash's tenure.
  21. So, how does that go in the official stats then? https://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/khsaa/kyfb21/stats_85726_4132 If they line up for an extra point --- and take a knee instead of kicking, is that not a miss? Or did they line up for a two point conversion and take a knee? Either way ... I struggle with the OP trying to portray Beechwood for intentionally attempting 2pt conversions --- if you are okay with it -- fine.
  22. OH Really ???? Aren't these your updates from the NCC v Ludlow thread? Ken Morgan Premium Member Premium Members 314 1,221 posts Author Posted October 7 Ryan Barth with 9 Extra point kicks Took a knee? Which is it? Still want to stick with this one?
