  1. Reds down in order in the bottom half. Need to get to that bullpen and force more than 9-10 pitches in the first.
  2. Castillo gives up no runs on 1 hit in the first. 2 stellar plays by Suarez!

  4. Hope Ervin gets another shot in CF tonight. Get a win tonight, win the series and move on. I'll take 2 of every 3.
  5. Tonight's lineup, no Schebler! 1. Votto (1B) 2. Suarez (3B) 3. Winker (LF) 4. Puig (RF) 5. Dietritch (2B) 6. Barnhart © 7. Ervin (CF) 8. Roark (P) 9. Iglesias (SS)
  6. I think it'd be interesting to hear that as well. I'm not sure it was the numbers given Disco's stat line the last time he faced the Cards lol.
  7. Change to the rotation for the Thursday game. The matchup will now be: Julio Teheran (2-2) vs Luis Castillo (2-1) Reds bump up Castillo and move DeSclafani to the opener of the St. Louis series.
  8. I'll agree with the bolded. Schebler has been awful. He has no business starting while Ervin is up, none. Especially where Bell consistently decides to hit him. He comes up in big situations and pitchers literally throw fastballs by him. They have no fear of him whatsoever and that makes things more difficult for those around him in a big league lineup. The italicized I can't agree with totally. I think he could have played the triple better, but the double was far from routine. If you were at the game and saw the defensive shift, that others pointed out on here, he had no chance at that ball really. I'd bet less than half of MLB left fielders get to that ball from that shift. High fly ball hit to the right spot and nothing he could do. I totally disagree with the underlined. The defense is not awful. It's not the greatest and could improve, especially with guys hitting cuts, etc, but the attached evidence shows the Reds are tied for 10th (listed at 11th) for fielding percentage. There are 30 teams in the league. I'll take a ranking in the top third of the league in just about anything. I'm all for being critical when the situation calls for it, but if we're going to be downright negative and claim it to be the "plain truth" at least let the numbers support it.
  9. Love that some will sit on here and pick at every thing that doesn’t go the Reds way, but completely ignore the total bright spot that has become Robert Stephenson. He single handedly stopped a rally just now. Rest of y’all enjoy the negativity, I’m out.
  10. Same thought haha, but in a 162 game season winning 2/3 gets you like 106 or 107 wins lol.
  11. Suddenly 9-9, beat a decent Anderson, OH team and you're 10-9, halfway to 20. Bellevue, Holmes, Dixie and St. Henry the rest of this week. CovCath may be sitting at 14 wins before throwing a pitch Monday. 14 games after that point, and you have to figure on at least 1 win in districts. Shutting out a decent SK team has me feeling much more optimistic on the streak continuing.
  12. I guess if not one else is going to jump on board of creating the next thread I will. The Reds return home to face an 11-10 Braves team that has a lineup with young stars locked up for the foreseeable future. All three games times are at 6:40. Hopefully the nice weather and winning 3/4 against the Padres puts a few butts in the seats for our local beer vendor. Game 1: Kevin Gausman (1-1) vs Sonny Gray (0-3) Game 2: Mike Soroka (0-1) vs Tanner Roark (1-0) Game 3: TBD vs Anthony DeSclafani (0-1) Let's get 2/3 there and keep moving with some positive momentum.
  13. I didn't agree with it either, but it's been a long time and your feathers are still ruffled over it? I need whatever life you live lol
  14. I looked at this twice, and didn't catch that haha.
  15. Way too conventional, you'll never see that with this regime.
  16. This is me 100%, and I'm not even healthy lol.
  17. When I go through their schedule it looks like they will be right around that 17-18 mark on games they SHOULD win. That doesn't factor in rain or winning/losing games they aren't supposed to. They have two games listed as TBA, who knows who fills those. I'd say it will be close and the streak is very much in jeopardy.
