How many times has Schebler struck out with guys on the last 2 days? You have to think he converts at least one of those, and then everything else plays differently. I know Bell is a huge analytics guy, but if his numbers say to keep playing Schebler they’re wrong.

That at bat from Puig was pretty frustrating.

Duke is in a bad way in this early part of the season. Have to have hope he can figure it out and be a pivotal part of that bullpen throughout the year!

Never thought I’d say this, but Votto has GOT to start swinging the back. Have to think he’ll get going at some point, but seems he leads off with a K-looking every night.

This may point to the struggles at the plate too, unfortunately.

Let's see if I can keep this positive streak going for the Reds. They enter a huge early season series with the Cardinals 5 games out of first place. To me, 5 games back is always that point of still feeling like you have hope (yes, I know it's early). Go to St. Louis and come out only 3 games back and it feels like there is so much more promise than leaving 7 or 8 games back. Game times Tonight: 8:15 Tomorrow: 2:15 Sunday: 2:15

Absolutely! Huge to slam the door there when they had momentum and runners on that could tie it up. It has been for a couple innings, but it’s now an official game with some nasty weather coming in. I wouldn’t be shocked if another pitch isn’t thrown.

It’s obvious Castillo is putting effort into improving in bunting. It’s still not confident, but it’s nice to see someone obviously working at something!
