Reds winning 2-0 after 2.

Man, what a shame! I log on earlier and see this thread blowing up about the Reds losing. Come back inside and see its tied, log on to see how it happened and not a word on any of the positive. Let them blow this tie and it’ll be active again. What a shame.

Reds at Brewers (5/21 - 5/22)

He is constantly working to keep his hands inside the baseball, which is what he is practicing with that swing. When Votto is at his best he is hitting the ball hard to the left-centerfield gap. That is what he is working on in this approach. If you watch and break the warmup swing down it is nearly perfect- minus the lack of follow through. The head stays still, hands work inside out, swing path is perfect, etc. -
Very true!

Can't gripe about drawing to play at your own park! Especially with some of neat feature/quirks to playing at that place!

Saturday, May 25 at Beechwood 10:30a - Ryle vs Dixie 1:00p - Beechwood vs NCC Saturday, May 25 at Florence 12:15p - St. Henry vs CovCath 2:45p - Highlands vs Boone County Thoughts?

Montgomery Co. vs St. Pat (Friday 5:30) Scott vs Nicholas Co. (Saturday 7:00) Harrison Co. vs Campbell Co. (Saturday 2:00) Mason Co. vs Bourbon Co. (Saturday 4:30) You have to love this draw if you're Montgomery Co. You avoid the Camels until the Championship, play St. Patrick first AND you do so on Friday night thus getting an extra day to rest arms (if you even use them).

Nice to see VanMeter knock a double early! Wonder how much of Castillo's struggles in the 2nd was tied to being spotted the 5 run lead. The Cowboy regularly talks about pitching after the big inning/big lead is one of the easier situations to get roughed up in. -
I haven't seen enough of the rest of the state to claim Mr. Castleman as the best player in all of the state, but I have seen him several times in both football and baseball. The one thing I always came away being amazed of was how down to earth he seemed. With social media, etc, it isn't very often that we see a player who is clearly the best on the field come off as extremely humble and not braggadocios. He is a great person to at least be representing all of NKY in the running for Mr. Baseball.

Big start to the road trip, and huge to take advantage without Yelich in the lineup! Luis Castillo vs Zach Davies tonight. Sitting 7 games back of the division and 3.5 back of the Wildcard. The Brewers lead the Wildcard, so another win tonight would be big! -

Sure is a good thing the Reds bats made some noise in the first because they’ve been silent for the last six! -

@8th Region Warrior I’m very confused about the dislike? -

I think he was going first move which I can deal with against a lefty, but waiting for the actual first move is key. -

Reds up 3-0 through 2 and a half. -
I almost posted this in the new series thread, but feel that it may grow pretty lengthy. I decided it would be best served in it's own thread rather than thread-jacking the other. As I've mentioned a few times in prior posts, I'm a firm believer in allowing David Bell to work the kinks out for an entire season before I pass any judgment on if he will ever be a successful manager or not. All managers have a heck of a learning curve, and he deserves the time to learn. With the above being said, I wanted to bring up the point of Roark going public with comments about being unhappy with being pulled yesterday. This is coming about 2 weeks after Iggy went public with comments of being unhappy with how he was used. This gets me to thinking and I remember an interview Votto had earlier this year where he was asked how he felt about the lineup and hitting leadoff, he couldn't have looked less comfortable answering the question. Brian Price had an awful record, but it seemed most frustrations were handled behind closed doors. I bring up all these points to ask, has David Bell lost the clubhouse? Is players being comfortable enough to speak out a good thing? Please share your thoughts.

Dodgers at Reds (5/17 - 5/19)

It was a (very hard) line out if you’re watching with unbiased eyes, or the official scorer, but I will agree with the rest. I’ve always been a huge Votto believer and I’m starting to worry a bit. -

Mostly factual but he turned and crushed one in the 3rd or 4th today. It was into a 20+ mph wind. I do agree he looks like he has a longer way to go than ever before, but to say he didn’t his a single ball hard is crazy. -

Zach Duke is really hard to watch. We continue to ship Cody Reed (who has struggled in the past but gotten the job done with the big club when called up) down, and it baffles me. -
