  1. Anything the Garrett's Co. in Chicago makes. If I have to choose from your list, Kettle.
  2. Will you/have you tried the BK Impossible Whopper? It is a burger made from "veggie meat" made to taste and mimic an actual whopper. All the way down to the fat. Interesting concept, but count me out. If I am going fast food I'm not going for the veggie burger! I would be interested to hear from others how it is though!
  3. That's already happened, so I guess more have to....
  4. Is it better than the burger at Beechwood? That (used to be anyway) as solid as it gets!
  5. A handful of years ago I attended a game and had one of the best brats I've ever had. The school escapes me now, but, maybe Raceland?
  6. It's football time in the Bluegrass State! I am a guy that loves to travel around, watch key matchups and big time players. This year I want to add in another factor for which games I will attend, food! Make the case for the BEST concession item your school does. What's the cost, etc.
  7. Yeah, sarcasm doesn't play well on a message board. It was a lame attempt at what people my age overcome all the time. The lame assumption going directly to wanting everything for nothing simply because of age.
  8. Those little rootbeer barrels. Reminds me of grandma's house.
  9. Can’t walk 9 guys, 5 by your bullpen. Can’t happen.
  10. At this point I’d rather have a position player lobbing strikes across the plate. These are the games that make you realize they aren’t there yet. Hard to believe it’s 4-4, but sure feels like it won’t be for long.
  11. He even looked back to see it kicked away! I defend Votto a lot, but that’s unreal.
  12. Votto is getting paid 25 million and can’t force a throw when a 3rd strike kicks away in extras. He even looked and saw the ball rolling. It’s those things that will kill you. And Cowboys explanation of him, “simply being too frustrated to run” is garbage.
  13. That’s where the computer told him to play. My bigger concern is how you don’t get dirty there. Still a very low percentage play, but that goes back the thing you’ll hear 5 times in a little league game, “just keep it in the infield.” Man in scoring position you have to at least try to knock it down.
  14. Actually, this kind of makes sense. Could have been an attempt to cause a distraction and botch the appeal. Either have a balk, or a throw to second to make the third out there would void the appeal.
  15. I defend this team in a lot, but I will never understand their baserunning, and they just keep coming up with new ways to look awful at it. That was impressive.
  16. I forgot about the new lefty. His stuff is supposed to be pretty good. That would be huge.
  17. I feel like it makes a ton of sense. This trade essentially sweetens the Homer Bailey trade. No chance you sign Puig back, and yes you could have made a QO and gotten a draft pick, but how often do draft picks pan out in the MLB? This trade gives you a pretty stinking tough 1-3 next year in the rotation. I’ll run Sonny Gray out against anyone’s #3. That’s if they don’t sign either Wood or Roark back, and I think they sign one of the two, more likely Roark. Rather than flip Bauer I see the Reds trying to work a 3-4 year Gray-esk deal. Unlikely Bauer takes it as his biggest goal (and he’s been vocal about it) is FA payday. Solid trade either way. Makes you a true contender next year and doesn’t completely kill you in the stretch run this year, which was already a long shot.
  18. After yet another lousy starting pitching performance by the Yanks, the Reds need to be on the phone to New York. Roark could be a great flip piece there. Even Wood if his start is solid Sunday, but unlikely you get top dollar for him after being hurt all year.
  19. Wonder what Roark could bring from them? Or, if he’s impressive Sunday, Wood.
