U13 Girls Youth Soccer Team
Kentucky Windage replied to Kentucky Windage's topic in AAU / Select / Club / Travel Sports
They are. The Kentucky team lost 5-1 in their previous game however the score was 2-1 with ten minutes left in the game and Kentucky led 1-0 until the ten minute mark in the second half. -
My niece is a member of the Kings Hammer U13 Girls Soccer team. They won the Midwest regionals about a month ago and are now playing in the National Championship game against a California team. The game will be broadcast over the interwebs on the link provided below. Hopefully the girls can bring the hardware back to Kentucky to put soccer on the map in this state. They have the 7:15 game on Saturday, which will be an 8:15 start time here because of the time change. Live | US Youth Soccer Championships

Happy belated birthday @TheDeuce.

I'm a pipeline control technician. Great job. I'd recommend it to just about anybody who don't mind being outside

I'll never forget JayLo in a basketball game at the Sweet 16 finals for the KY high school championship. Derek Smith released down the sideline after a shot and Jarrod snagged the rebound and threw an absolute missile to Derrek. Not one dribble, Derrek dunked the ball.

Another "Stand Your Ground" Case In Florida
Kentucky Windage replied to ColonelPops's topic in Controversial Issues
Obviously the dude was mad that they parked in a handicap spot. What was the dude's handicap? Getting pushed to the ground like that seemed rather aggressive. Not saying the shooting was justified because it was obvious that the aggressor was backing away. This just seems like a really hard case to prove just because interpretation of the law seems to side with the shooter. I feel incredibly bad for the dude who got killed. Father at church the other day gave an excellent homily on compassion. I wish that both could have shown compassion for one another in this situation but obviously that wasn't the case on both ends. -
BGP QOTD: If you could just win one?
Kentucky Windage replied to Jumper_Dad's topic in BGP Break Room
It would also be pretty cool to throw a perfect game in the World Series game 7. And on the other side of that - to be the batter that won the game with a grand slam with two outs and bases loaded with team down by three runs in the ninth inning. -

I'm not much of a golf guy, but it'd have to be the Masters for me. -
The Smokehouse in Hilton Head, SC. Very good, still don't beat the Smoking Pig on flavor but the variety was great. I got grilled shrimp with corn on the cob and broccoli. The shrimp was topnotch but like i said earlier, Smoking Pig still beats them with bbq items

BGP QOTD: How do you dress the perfect burger?

I can respect that. -
BGP QOTD: How do you dress the perfect burger?
Kentucky Windage replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in BGP Break Room
Start with ground chuck. Mix unknown quantities of Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Chicago seasoning with ground chuck. Make patties. Let sit for about an hour. Meanwhile throw corn on the cob on the grill. Patties go to grill. Cook to preferred done-ness. While burgers are cooking by this point the bacon should be done and you should be frying an egg over easy. Butter buns and put them on the grill. Before pulling the burger off the grill, top it with smoked cheddar cheese and let it melt. Put the burger on the bun, add bit of mayonnaise to it, top it with your egg (be sure to pop the yolk at this point otherwise you will be wearing it) and a heaping quantity of bacon. If there is a better burger I'd be surprised. -
If A College Football Coach Said This...(Racism)
Kentucky Windage replied to MJAlltheWay24's topic in Controversial Issues
Man, I'm going to have to go back and watch Friday Night Lights. I really don't remember this. The wife started watching it one day so I started watching probably about midway through season 2, but still loosely. I don't get a lot of time for tv anymore. All that I know is that she is in love with Tim Riggins. I just tell her that I look better than him.........I see myself in the mirror everyday -
I know Dontaie's dad (not personally, played a lot of basketball and softball with him), he's a humble dude. Very cool to be around. I have a video on VHS of his dad dunking over one of my high school teammates that should be on a poster. He was a total athlete if there ever was one. That being said, I'm sure he wants what is best for his kid. I'm also sure he'll let Dontaie pick the right situation for Dontaie.

What are you watching right now?
Kentucky Windage replied to newarkcatholicfan's topic in Television / Films / Music
Been watching Ken Burns's Vietnam documentary. If people think we are in a time of turmoil now then they should watch that to gain some perspective. -
Thanks for sharing. Pretty cool. Not exactly what i was expecting. That had to have been at a Chick-Fil-A.

Favorite Cocktails & Cocktail Recipes
Kentucky Windage replied to formerkywrestler's topic in BGP Break Room
Ginger ale and bourbon. If I have my "dranking shoes" on and the mood strikes me right, I do enjoy a good Irish Carbomb. Normally pay for that the next day though. Otherwise just a bourbon on the rocks or a light beer of some type. -
Holy cow. That sounds good

Trouble with the birds called "Barn swallows"
Kentucky Windage replied to jvdfc's topic in BGP Break Room
I don't know if there is anything that you can do to fight the problem while you mow the yard. That is their behavior. They feed on insects in low lying fields. But if they're nesting near you, then you need to knock them out. They're not endangered, they live nearly everywhere. They're territory extends from Canada down to South America. -

Black Label Society - Funeral Bell Been on a major Black Label Society kick lately. This song absolutely shreds!!! -
That shouldn't be all too uncommon about how he would have thought it was a gas leak. Skunks produce a sulfer based product called thiol which closely resembles what is injected into the natural gas pipeline (mercaptan).
