During the summer I used to work at Highland County Club, mowing grass and landscaping and whatnot. I used to ride the National cutting the roughs around the tee boxes and the greens. I eventually worked my way up to being allowed to cut the greens and tees. One day I was cutting the greens and made my way to the back nine when my mower sprung a hydraulic leak. It leaked just a small bit and the oil that dripped on the greens just looked likea clump of grass clippings from the green would. By the time i had caught onto it, I had cut 4 greens. I went back to the shop to notify the mechanic. When I was talking to him about the leak the greenskeeper overheard. He promptly ordered me on a golf cart to show him the greens that had been mowed. When we got there, he flipped out. Cusing and carrying on, yelling like a crazed drunk at me. I told him that we had a good crew, and that we'd be able to handle this. He continued on screaming obscenities. I told him if he kept on like that, that I didn't think I could work for somebody like that and that my two other cousins would quit with me as well as two other friends too. That didn't seem to sink in to him, so right there on the #13 green at Highland Country Club I quit. And once I told my cousins and friends what went down, they quit too. The next week I was working at a landscaping company, cutting grass and making more money.
