Is there really 4 people that think Newcath can win? -
5A #1 Covington Catholic vs. 6A Campbell County
Paw Patrol replied to DevilMayCare's topic in KY Football (High School)
Will be interesting to see the Big WR for Campbell against big defenders of the Colonels. How do you think Jolly does with bigger defenders gaurding him? Lot of chatter about his size that no one seems to give him credit for. -
Ryle 42 Simon Kenton 6 (Frosh)

Whats Ryle record and who do they have left? -
Highlands has a big DE that has some skills Kissee. Campbell County has a stud QB Agee. Beechwood Tigers had a good little running back#27. Not sure on some of these names. Correct me if I am wrong. Colonels Have a solid tailback and Qb. Big Linemen that seem skilled. Ryle has some monster Linemen as well. Some good talent in NKY right now. If anyone knows names please enlighten us all.

Covington Catholic 31 Beechwood 13 (Frosh)

Secondary for Tigers got abused. Beechwood definitely had some players. My Opinion Tigers just ran out of gas. Very low numbers while Colonels were 3 deep in rotations in skilled positions. -

How did the line look for both teams? You put up 28 someone was blocking. Anyone worth watching in future for either squad. -

Anything positive out of Campbell JV? -
Camels Need a QB

This Beechwood team is loaded. Watched them play in Championship game last year in middle school and they were very good
-
Covcath Freshmen won there division in Greater Cincinnati Catholic leaque last year. They should be fun to watch. Plus I am sure they have added some tranfers to the freshmen class.
-
The Ryle freshman line is massive. They will be very good this year. True definition of ground and pound like the old Boone County style with them big boys
-
Rumor has it that the big Lineman Tyler litmer is playing again after taking a year off. He is a monster and will help on both sides of the ball. I think they have a decent sized center as well, believe his last name is McCormick. WR Brady Kramer looks to be promising as filler for the loss of Donnelly. Should be interesting year for the Mustangs

If Covcath is a top state team at Varisty level I wonder why that freshman team don't play against the trinity and X teams?
-
His brother played at covcath as well when i played and was a true stud. Its in there blood. Great Hire for CCHS
-
He was D coordinator at Ryle. He is a member of the Cov Cath hall of fame played in 88' I think
-
Rumor is Borchers has pulled his name. Mike Wolfe would be a good hire. Bryson Warner would also be a great hire but does not make sense for the school. Campbell typically hires from within. This hire may make or break the claryville people that someone spoke of in earlier post. Which is funny. Lol

Is NKYFL Disbanding Their Senior Division?
Paw Patrol replied to NKYPrepSportsFan's topic in Middle School Sports
Yes there are divisions set up for the championship however you still have teams like Campbell county playing Ludlow and Newport. Teams like Beechwood playing Campbell county and Walton. Granite Beechwood would have smoked them or did but still not not set up in divisions until the playoffs. Being a Boone county guy would like to see the 6a teams in middle school start to play the team's they would play through Highschool. That makes teams like Beechwood get stronger throughout their years which is why they compete so well. Hurts teams like Conner and Campbell because they grow up playing smaller school teams and when they get into leaque play they are not ready. Just my Opinion -

Rule #7 in the bylaws states your team must submit the defense prior to season starting -

One other interesting fact about NKMSAA is each team has to submit their defense to the leaque before the the season starts. Totally takes away an extension of the game. -

No offense to the team's in the NKMSAA. The leaque competition is not very consistent. Also is mostly all small school kids. The other issue is the kids that play in that leaque are not allowedbto participate in the KY middleschool all star tryouts or state functions. The kids that want to try out for that stuff get snuffed because the small schools of nky don't want to compete with the large schools. Every team should be in the state brackets and play for a state championship. -
