It's been a while since this has been posted. Who are some of the better PA announcers around NKY? This includes 8th, 9th, and 10th Regions. Anyone that is new that people maybe haven't heard before? This always ends up being an interesting topic!

I've seen this questions asked before, but I thought I would ask it a different way . Since a lot of the covid restrictions were lifted this year, I was able to attend more games than usual. I noticed a lot of different voices behind the microphone than I have heard in years past calling games. Was wondering who you all enjoyed listening to this past season, or if there was anyone that made watching the game unbearable! haha Just hoping to have fun with this!

Would Jeff Barth from Walton Verona apply? He is a Highlands grad. Has had a pretty good amount of success with the Bearcats. Just throwing that out there. I have zero clue if he is even interested in the job or not.

How many people will be sitting in the old Kmart parking lot to listen to the game since attendance is limited?

Will they just have their PA announcer added to the feed? I wonder if their A.D. Derek Bosse had anything to do with putting this together? If he did then kudos to him!

You make a very good point. I wish I could add them to the poll. It only lets you have 20 options, and that is how many teams are in the 9th. I wish I could add Simon, Walton, Scott, Calvary,Campbell County,and Brossart.

This is usually brought up once a year, but now since the season is winding down and folks have probably been to multiple gyms, I wonder if there are any changes. What schools in your opinion have some of the better PA announcers? Which ones do you dread walking into the gym because you have to listen to them?

It was amazing that St.Henry was able to come back in this one. The FT advantage was something like 17-4 for Ludlow in the first half, and 29-6 for the game.

It’s by far the smallest of the 3 Kenton Co schools. I believe Scott is in the 900 range, as to where Dixie has between 1400-1600, and Simon Kenton has somewhere between the 1600-1800 range. The best thing to do to fix this issue is close the open enrollment and move the district lines and bring more of northern Independence into the Scott district. With the last redistricting, pretty much all of Edgewood was taken away from Scott. It used to be in the last 20 years or so that everything on Dudley Rd. Up to Turkeyfoot Rd. Was Scott district. Now they don’t even get to the top of the Dudley Rd. hill.

Haven’t heard much about this game tonight. Thought it may get more attention with this being Brad Carr’s 1st game back at Scott on the opposing sideline. Who wins this one?

Congratulations to her. I know the situation was out of her control, but if she and Niece had both stayed at Scott with Clephane, they would have 3 players with over 2000 points with Niece being close to 3,000 points! How many high schools can claim that on one roster?

Montini Catholic is one of the top 10 teams in the country, They have girls that are 6'5 and 6'3 going to Wake Forest, and Ohio State, as well as a girl going to Valpo. Pickerington Central has 5 girls that are playing D1. The other out of town teams are pretty good as well.

Honestly Scott probably should've won the 9th Region that year. They had beaten NCC in the regular season and was ranked in the top 15 in the state. If Jamie Medved had not gotten hurt at the end of the regular season against Conner, I believe it would've been the Eagles that went to Rupp that year.

Would he want to coach basketball AND softball?

That is awesome!! I hope that they really do show up! I'm sure the Eagle student section will welcome them with open arms.
