I can see that assessment. Just think regardless the college floor is something both teams will have to deal with.

I will never agree with the assessment that a large court hurts a tough 1/2 Court defensive team. The major difference is the 1/2 Court line to the three point line. They can still grind it out in the 1/2 court. This didn't hurt them a few years ago when they won the region and won't be the reason they don't win it this season. Cooper will come up short because of offensive deficiencies (if they do lose).

I don’t think it’s a thing of David can’t coach. The issue is I believe has the lowest winning percentage in the history and couple that with multiple 20 loss seasons and you get a disgruntled fan/parent base in addition to pressure on the administration. No doubt David can coach but maybe he needs a different location to show it.

Cov Cath played not to lose and that hurt them. Guards are suspect which CC hasn’t seen since Ruthsatz first year. 35th is going to be a battle for lots of years. All 4 teams represented their schools well this week.

That’s 3 in a row for WV! SK has won 1 district championship since 2014. Biggest school in the 8th region is struggling to win their district let alone their region.

Benton is a legit 6’8”. I’ve seen him at several games.

Funny you don’t hear about “parent issues” at the school down the street. I think the culture has to be changed or maybe it can’t be.

I can see where it might be hard to shoot in but Beechwood played there against Holmes during the season and scored 78 in the same gym. Plus, playing in a win or your done game puts added pressure on those threes.

Holy Cross gave them everything they had. Great job by the coach to put them in position to make the upset. They were abysmal shooting the ball. Had to be 0-18 from 3 and not much better from the FT line. Saw HC grad and former NKU coach Dave Bezold in the stands. Good luck Beechwood against Cov Cath. Get the upset.

Tough job if true. Need to get a head coach with some experience. Going to be a talented team next few years.

Fact. And this is where the debate begins on whether administrators should be coaches. School gets handcuffed.

Prediction for the 8th (Winner/Loser): 29th - South Oldham/Oldham County 30th - Collins/Spencer County 31st - Gallatin County/Carroll County 32nd - Walton Verona/Simon Kenton This would mean Simon Kenton would draw Gallatin, Collins, or South Oldham. I don't have any faith that Simon can beat Gallatin or South Oldham let alone Collins. But to have to face two of those in back-to-back rounds would be a daunting task for the Pioneers.

I get that but why would Beechwood schedule this type of opponent?

Holy Cross radio had HC up at halftime. Highlands has ability to win the region. HC is hard to put a finger on.

So why did this game happen?

I was specific in saying next year. I’m also hearing some of the woodland kids are looking elsewhere already.

NCC has played a tough stretch of games since the All-A.

6th and 7th I believe went to this format a few years ago, the rest of the games are played at Valley for the boys.

Anyone in the state going to be within 15 of them the rest of the season?

I thought Scott would be a lot better and more consistent this season. They have 10 seniors on the roster and would expect them to win these games regardless of whether or not Ohmer is out. Looking at their roster, they may struggle mightily next season. Of the 15 players that are recorded as playing in the 19 games they have entered stats for, 5 of them are non-seniors. They have only been in an average of just under 9 games a piece. This will be a very inexperienced roster next season.
