You're also right that a lot of people with blind loyalty, rose colored glasses, or an untrained eye didn't think about Bailey's ability to be a general on the floor. That's as important as the points probably. I think as an observer on the outside, I thought Ruf would take over and could be molded into a general.

That's a true statement as well, but I think this group won the ORVC as 8th graders when Bailey was a freshman. Can anyone confirm this? Also, Are you implying that one player makes a team?

I agree to an extent, but what happens when coaches nominate 3 is other coaches wont vote for all of them and votes are split, so I could only imagine what it'd be if coaches had unlimited nominations. Maybe coach Cox could've nominated 3 or they could've used BC's 3 since their coach didn't

That's ok... Rabbit is the reason for all the teams wins, but no mentions his name when they lose.

I have a hunch he had a lot to do with the head coach no longer coaching at Mason

Just saying from my perspective when they went to the final 4 of state it was all about so and so. Never once took the time to give the current coach credit. That AAU coach wasn't on the sidelines making those decisions, but yet was given all the credit.

I think this group should've changed their name to the Mason Co. Rabbits since I've heard a dozen people refer to them as "Rabbit's group". If I were a coach in that system I'd take offense since you apparently had nothing to do with their development or success.

A minor upset will happen in the 9th region tournament. Cooper will win the region knocking off Covington Catholic.

So do you think Mason Burden from Robertson Co deserves a vote? Averages 25.5ppg and has lead his team to 14 wins this season. Team had 8 wins last year...2 of their remaining 3 before District are very winnable - SG and Dayton. That would double teams win from previous season. That's success to a small school, however, he may not play in the Region. Would you say he's deserving of a vote?

Like that perspective Vito! But if Augusta and Bracken draw each other in the first round, doesn't the winner end the other's season? However, I get it, Augusta doesn't get to host a post season game unless in top 8 of super regional.

According to riherds, Burden for Robertson Co. had 43 points and 13 rebounds vs Model. Pretty good game for the Junior from Mt. Olivet. I was fortunate enough to watch Ryan Cooper from Clark County put on a shooting clinic in the Polar Bear Palace on Saturday. That was impressive.
