Is there a complete list anywhere? I have been seeing these posts on social media from several teams but can’t find the comprehensive list. Congrats to the cougars on the list!! oops just saw this same question in another thread

This has been discussed quite a bit here. The small schools do have the All A that while not being the KHSAA championship is still something they can look forward to and compete in for a "state championship". As a small school (less than 400 students). parent I love the all comers state championship in basketball. It sets KY apart and makes it such a bigger accomplishment. When our girls won the KHSAA state it was amazing. If there were one of 3-4 teams to win it would feel like everyone gets a trophy. Football is such a different animal though. It has to be separate. Just my opinion though.

Holy cross won 24-0 against the CCH 7-8th grade team. This makes them 6-1 for the regular season. They have several really nice players that should help rebuild the high school team if they all go to high school at HC.

Interesting you should ask. As spectators we were surprised with the lineup the Indians sent up. One of our best was not out there. Both made the first shot. Beechwood went first. One the second shots Beechwood hit and HC missed high. Third shots both made. Fourth shots Beechwood made and HC was stopped by the keeper. Beechwood 4-2 fifth shots not done since not necessary.

Beechwood wins in PKs knocking out the Indians. I felt the Indians controlled most of the game but just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net. There were multiple near misses. Holy Cross was down three starters that were injured in the Campbell County game last week so had to shuffle around players and had several girls who hadn’t played much earlier in the season step up it just wasn’t quote enough. Good luck to all the remaining teams.

Final.

The first round will be October 3 at Beechwood. The evening starts with NDA vs Holmes @ 6pm and is followed by Beechwood vs Holy Cross @ 8pm. The Beechwood/Holy Cross game should be a great game. They played early in the season and the Tigers won 2-0. The Indians have been playing their best soccer the past couple of weeks will it be enough to knock off the Tigers and earn a place in regionals? Last year the Tigers won in double overtime. The year before that the Indians won. It seems to always be a good game. The finals will be played at 7pm on October 5 @ Beechwood.

The Indians defense stepped up again holding the Camels to a single goal. Next up Brossart Saturday in a makeup game from last week .

If they really didn’t help fundraise that is a bunch of crap. The more I read up on this the more ridiculous some of it seems. Well intentioned for sure but why can’t kids/parents work hard for nice things without always having to share. And fwiw I have girls.

I am not sure if this is really controversial but I wasn’t sure where else to put it. I searched online but cannot really find a direct answer to the question. I know the title nine says that there must be equal opportunities between males and females including participation and equipment etc. The rules say that donors or boosters may not provide extra for a team either unless the school makes up for the discrepancy. My question is what if the team fundraises on their own to buy additional equipment or have additional practice time or whatever. Would that still be a violation if they did not share their proceeds with the opposite sex or other sports?

He was quite vocal for sure. Lol. It was a really good evenly matched game that was a lot of fun to watch. One of the Cooper defenders went down in the second half after what looked like a collision with their own goalie trying to keep Rylee Veneman from scoring. I hope she is OK.

Final Are we finally seeing the team the Indians should have been all year? The defensive struggle was 0-0 at the half. Addy Saalfeld scored with approx 15 min left on a corner kick by Sydney Quercioli for the only score of the game. There were plenty of nice shots on goal by both teams but neither could hit the back of the net. Indian goalie Mia Wilson had some nice saves and the Indian defense did a good job pushing the Cooper offense to the outside limiting open shots on goal. Overall great game by both teams. Next up Brossart on Wednesday for the Indians.

Ryle and HC tie 3-3. Nothing too exciting to report honestly. I felt like HC had more time of possession and definitely more shots on goal particularly the first half but continue to struggle punching it in. There were a couple of times when Hoffman was driving getting ready to shoot and ended up on the ground. Once looked like it was pretty clear cut lower the shoulder push down but it is what it is. Iasillo from Ryle was really quick and penetrated the Indian defense well. I am not sure why she didn’t play more. Lehmkuhl the Ryle freshman goalie made some nice stops in the first half.

Holy Cross defeated Sharp Middle school. I don't know the exact score but something like 38-0. The Indians have resurrected their middle school team and have a roster of about 25 6-8th graders that can hopefully help the numbers on the high school team the coming years. One stand out is Littello Johnson a 6-3 300 pound lineman 8th grader who can move. He could be a varsity starter next year.

They walked off the field because a light pole caught on fire and it was unsafe playing conditions. They were worried they were going to lose all the lights. It was strange like you said.

I figured it was soccer lol. I am sorry to admit I don’t follow much soccer other than my daughter and her friends. We did watch the national team when they came to Cincinnati though so I have seen Alex Morgan play.

Agree that the 2-1 HC win against Scott was closer than what I expected. I feel like HC passed well and honestly controlled most of the game they just could not finish and hit the back of the net. Beechwood and Campbell County Sat and Monday will be good tests for the Indians.

Holy Cross lost to St Henry 6-2 Mandy Schlueter is the real deal. Aleah Arlinghaus man marked her most of the first half and actually did a really good job but Mandy is a selfless player passing to her teammates well. Holy Cross didn’t play poorly but did have some breakdowns in communication on defense that cost them a couple of goals.

Holy Cross plays St. Henry tonight at 545. Originally it was supposed to be NCC but apparently the brackets changed. It will be a challenge to try to contain Schuelter, but hopefully the Indians are up for it. The winner will play the winner of Ludlow NCC

Covington Holy Cross defeated Villa in the first round of the All A 4-2. Two goals for the Indians by Ivy Hoffman and two goals by Sydney Quercioli. The Indians were up 2-0 when Villa scored on a corner. Villa then got another goal on a breakaway 1v1 with the goalie. The Indians came back and scored two additional goals to win. it was a pretty clean game with very few fouls called. I felt like Holy Cross controlled the ball more than Villa but Villa made plays when they had to. The Villa goalie made several nice saves. I don’t have the stats but I would say shots on goal Holy Cross had 2-3x what Villa had. Survive and advance.
