Is the KHSAA going to correct this tape delay during the half? It’s very frustrating.

It's my understanding Barren Co. only bought out South Warren and Bowling Green. They opted to keep Greenwood and Grayson Co. on their schedule.

I'm assuming South Warren will lose their QB, as well. Considering Spurrier, Jr. just took a job with Washington St.

Does this make the search for Greenwood's head football coach more difficult?

I'm so sick of hearing no harm, no foul about the locker room. Try going into your boss's office, throwing a few chairs, a flag or two, flipping over a desk, then cleaning it up and see how well that goes over. That argument is absurd. The video after the BG game was just the icing on the cake for the locker room antics that have been going on with South Warren football for the last few years. South's behavior on and off the field is an embarrassment to their school, their district, and their community. And if you even have to ask what those are, you are either living under a rock or you don't care. ALL of that falls under the head coach.

I'm assuming if Coach Spader takes over at BG he will continue to coach the defense and will assign/hire someone to focus on the offense. Same difference. I'm sure BG will take their time and do a thorough search.

I've never understood the concept of hiring a "big name" coach. I'm not sure what that even means. I know high quality coaches at smaller programs who don't have a "big name." They've taken small, un-athletic teams and won ball games. Do they win state titles? No. But they're pretty dang good coaches. Just because people around the state know your name, it doesn't mean you are the best person for a particular job. For example, maybe you have a coach who played in college or the NFL and everyone knows their name, it does NOT correlate to successfully coaching high school kids. Schools should hire who they feel are most qualified for the job and to lead their young men. They need to stop getting caught up in the hype of a "big hire."

I understand that 'after the fact.' I think this year's weather and team demographics played a big part in the uptick in attendance. My question is how they won the bid in the first place. Isn't the purpose of a bid mostly about money? I seriously don't know, just from my own work experience.

The fact that it's at Kroger Field will feel like no one is there, regardless of the ticket prices. That's what made WKU a great venue.

You might want to add Greenwood's Jackson Adams to your 'players of the week.' Heard his name on the Sports Connection last night. Played 147 snaps on offense and defense against Highlands Friday night. 301 rushing yards and 4 TD's 53 passing yards and 1 TD and 1 int 8 solo tackles and 2 assists 2 pass deflections. His numbers were probably overshadowed because of the big game across town, but those are pretty impressive numbers against a solid Highlands team.

According to BG Daily News, the BG vs ST X game has been moved to Saturday at 11 am (central time).

If she was one reprimanded, why was her staff fired? No one is discussing the fast that the administration fired her staff. I've never heard of that.

BG has been trying to oust her for a couple of years (rumors). But after the admin. fires your coaching staff I would assume you know they're after you. When BG hired Calvin Head in July it became obvious. However, waiting until a couple of days before schools starts, which gives her a near zero opportunity to find another job, is petty.

BG beat those five teams by an average 28 points per game. They are top tier teams in the state compared to average teams. They're no longer competitive with BG. Playing McCallie and Blackmon, that's more like it. BG won by 48 in the state title game. It's time to step up.

I would say so. It basically guarantees Coach Wallace another 9-10 win season.

It's becoming more prevalent to start boys (sometimes girls) in kindergarten at age 6. Kindergarten used to be half day play/half day learning, it was better for kids. Now, it's sitting in a desk doing worksheets for 7 hours a day. Look at any 5 year old and that's tough, especially on boys. I think parents are choosing to start them later. It's also beneficial when playing high school sports to be a year older, physically and mentally.

Do we know who the JH player is who was arrested at school for abuse of a teacher? Will this factor into Friday night's game?
