The Purples suffered a 35-21 defeat at the hands of then 6A #7 Pleasure Ridge Park. Saint Xavier had an off week thus giving them the opportunity to watch the Purples in person. We'll see how much having two weeks to prepare for this 5A power helps Will Wolford and his squad. Bowling Green is the home team and that is significant.

BG has more speed but believe X will win trenches with one of best OL in state. Tigers by 7.

This will be a close game, but will probably similar to the games back in '05 and '06 where the O and D lines for X dictated much of the game. Just because it's close doesn't mean it'll be low scoring...

X - 33

BG - 28

Going to be a very difficult game for BG.

ST X is an excellent team. Easily Top 5 in the State. Their lines speak for themselves and will likely dictate things. I think BG can score, but not sure how the DLine attacks the X OLine. But I bleed Purple so give me BG 36 X 35!

Cathedral who X beat last week just lost to Detroit King #3 team in Michigan 38-35.

Always look forward to this match up. Making the Labor Day weekend trip to see this game!

What did BG learn about themselves after last weekend?

Can X's D stop/slow down BG's offense, something they've struggled to do the last few years? Does X have to passing attack to keep the BG defense on their heels?

Saint Xavier wins this one easily as their 55 seniors may all see action. Bowling Green may not bounce back from the deflating loss to Pleasure Ridge Park. Maybe Bowling Green Coach Kevin Wallace will change his thinking and decide it is easier to beat Trinity the next time this contract is up for renewal.

Just can't help yourself can you. :idunno: You must be pretty bored.:idunno:

Many angles here. But one is for sure, the 2 administrations (T & BG) don't see it collectively feasible to continue the contract. If they did, they would be playing. You will point to certain things as to why it is BGs fault and I will the other way. In the end, that doesn't matter one bit because we don't sign the contracts.

Both programs are doing fine without the other (unfortunate as it may be) thank you very much. I personally would love to play T. (I came to the Carmel game because I love visiting Marshall Stadium and seeing a high quality game and you, quite frankly, are the only reason I would ever NOT pull for T against an out of state opponent). FOR some reason, BG is in your craw because they are a PUBLIC school winning nearly as well or as well last season as MIGHTY T. How dare anyone approach.

The reason we play X is the administrations work TOGETHER collectively and VALUE the series. I love playing X. If we get drilled on Friday, so be it. I'll look forward to playing them next year as well. I love speaking with their fans and everything about it. :idunno:

Purple88 its OK. He's wrong a lot. He couldn't comprehend when I told him how good PRP was last week before the game.

You know Bowling Green has won 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two. It might be awhile before Coach Wallace panics and begs out of the contract because we are overmatched.

I like St. X in this game. Every public school has a class every once in awhile that is down a bit, even Bowling Green.
