Trinity Freshman team will make the trip up to play Elder on 10/21. They are very good. They beat Carmel(IN), Male and St X twice (37-7 and 48-0). They have a game this weekend against Bullitt Central and should be 6-0 going into the Elder game. St x seems very down this year on the freshman side. They currently sit at 2-4.

I will say this, Beatty's success is based on superior coaching staff, a system and committed players with time in the system. His results speak for themselves. He has 12 state championships and is looking at #13 this year. That would be more than St X has in their football history. Look at the results the last few years between Trinity and the rest of the state, the gap is getting wider. With that being said, St X has a good program with probably 200+ players and plenty of talent. Without Trinity in the way, St X would have 20+ state championships. St X is due to win one. I believe Trinity has 12 of the last 13. Sooner or later St X will win another one, but I don't think it will be this year.

ABSOLUTELY!!! This isn't even the future,.. it is the present! Utilize other kids at the school in a fashion where they can learn something and accomplish something. High School sports isn't all about making money and selling tickets, it is about growing and learning. Give students the opportunity to learn about broadcasting and computers. Dunbar looked good during the week at the Oldham JV tournament, but lost to a mediocre Ballard team on the saturday, when the varsity also had a game scheduled vs. Dublin Coffman. Draw your own conclusions. Excellent: St X-Deep and good. interesting point-JV is all sophs., no sophs. on varsity full time(some appear to have played a few games and gone back to JV) Good:Oldham County, Trinity, Dunbar Above Average: South Oldham Average: Manual, Ballard, Collins, Male Below Average:Atherton, Lex Catholic NOT GOOD: Eastern, CAL, KCD on an interesting note, I just noticed that Jeffersontown HS in Louisville didn't field a team this year.

I am not sure of the specifics of the CCH drug and alcohol policy. Having random testing is a tremendous benefit for parents and students. If gives students an "easy out" of a peer pressure situation when they can just say that their school test. With the horrible problem Kentucky has with opioids and the death count from overdoses skyrocketing, testing is much needed. Find a family that has gone through this and they will tell you that they wish they had testing.

Collegiate lost a lot last year. added a number of good players, but they are young.

They have 20+ seniors on the team. I think they held on to players because of their time with the program. There are no Sophomores on varsity. There are sophomores on JV(paying their dues) that are better than many seniors. This was an opportunity for them to get Varsity time. I believe 7 sophs came up and played. They did lose both games in St Louis this past weekend with the younger roster. It will be interesting to see if some of those boys stay up with varsity or are sent back down.
