Trinity's Rondale Moore is blistering the record books. This year he has entered the state records books with the second highest number of receptions in a game (22 vs. none other than Moeller) and the fourth highest (18 vs. Champagnat Catholic FL). Not including stats from last Friday's game versus Eastern, Moore already has 72 receptions on the season. Pulaski County's Jake Johnson set the season receptions record last year with 139. Will Moore break the record?

Depends on how much he's on the field for the next few games. He's had his biggest games against some of Trinity's best opponents. They should breeze through the next four or five weeks, and he might only average 3 or 4 receptions a game. I don't know that he'll get enough opportunities for big games until they get deep into the playoffs.

I think you are probably right. Unless he racks up two or three 15+ reception games in the playoffs, he probably is not going to get enough playing time to break the record.

 

Trinity plays Ballard in the last game of the year. He will probably play that one to tune up for the playoffs. If he plays in that one and all five playoff games, then he will need to average 12 receptions a game to get the record.

I believe he didn't dress against Eastern due to a minor injury.
