How does North Bullitt rate with their depth? It seemed they were avbout a player short last year and this year they have lost a couple to graduation. Any new faces that can help them?

I am totally mesmerized by the 9th region. There is much uncertainty but alot of potential. I cannot wait to see it unfold. It begins early as Highlands meets Sacred Heart in early December..Has a site and date been finalized for this matchup? I plan to try to make this one

Some kids mature at different rates and times...Based on what I saw of Sacred Heart this summer at UK team camp I can see the potential of the Sivils kid. UK coaches told me she has a huge upside. Sacred heart will not blow you away with swagger but they will make you earn every thing you get. I understand that everyone is a cockeyed optimist at this time of year and I have no doubt the Eastern stable is full of talent. It should be a huge war this year in the 7th region. I might ask the Mr Basketball which Eastern players are being recruited by D1 schools? And what schools?

SMH I wonder what you might be smoking These teams played 2 times last year Although I did not see either game I understand Eastern won in a last second shot in early December and in the LIT SHA blew out Eastern When you look at the rosters Eastern had the edge on the inside with Porter and Kinnard But Heart has better perimeter guards at least from a shooting perspective I think each team would win 5 out of 10 this season Discipline will be a huge factor And team defense and conditioning will also be huge factors those factors are big question marks for Eastern Does Eastern have better athletes top to bottom? Perhaps but Sacred Heart wins because if the last three factors when they win And let us not forget they have much young talent as well Berger is one of the most recruited sophs in the country Like I said This is an interesting match up Both coaches do a fine job so it will be a clash of styles Wish I could see this one

I agree with catch but do not see them competing with Butler or Bullitt East..not to say they are not capable of beating them but both those other two are far deeper in personnel and talent..I assume Erin Boley is not the transfer

Seems they had some injuries this summer...But Mike Harper will have them ready for sure

Hey Royal what kind of simmer schedule did this team play to get them ready for this season. I expect they played alot to get used to the new coach

Murray has a fine team.. I expect thenm to be a solid contender in the first region. The folks in Lexington will see first hand how talented this team is. I also think they have top ten in the state potential.

This team should give Henderson a run for the money thos season. I like their chances

This team should be the class of region 12. They play exciting up tempo and are physical on defense, They have a potential first team all state player in Robins. They are fun to watch and are well coached

This team is excellent. Players play together. They have many shooters and have a tremendous press. I expect they should be a pre season top ten team

This team should be loaded...Loss of point guard Taylor Jackson may affect ball handling but this team has the athleticism to overcome a rash of turnovers..they will create many scoring opportunities for them selves off their press and a strong rebounding contingent should be able to present many second chance opportunities from missed shots...they have several good shooters that might make zone defenses be wary...Of course there are many fine teams in this region...coaching could make the difference as all four of the major players in this region have top notch coaches and never forget the luck element

I do not but I would make Franklin Co a strong favorite...Scott Co, Henry Clay and Lafayette will supply sturdy opposition

I think it will be a long year for the Cougars but they certainly have much pride..new coach brings new optimism..just dont see much talent to go around Morabito..also she will be double teamed alot..I know she is a good spot up shooter but can she create her own shot?

So where does HHS play their home games until the gym is ready?

I think Nathaniel has summed up Etown very well...I expect them to romp in the 5th..the rest of the region is not that talented

GRC will be in the mix..they are extremely young in certain spots...I still think Mason and Campbell are a cut above them but March is a long way from now..plenty of time to improve

You could make that argument every year 8th...If you remember last year Etwon was "unbeatable" yet in a one game scenario anything can happen. I know Mason turned many heads lst year during the tourney and obviously earned all the good things being said about them. They will be formidable and I am certain they are a top team this coming season

Campbell Co is a strong contender this season. They had chances vs Mason Co last year in the semis of the region and played them toe to toe. With all the experience returning Mason vs Campbell will be fun to watch. Mason's new coach has inherited a talented group as well. Their press at the state tournament last yer was one of the best I have seen in a while

No doubt the injury to Anderson (again) has disrupted Coach Baisch and his plans for this season. His younger post players Muss and Feldkamp can do some things offensively but both are defensive liabilities considering the pressing style Mercy likes to play. However, they could be effective in a zone defense with their length and size. Mercy can shoot.. I do not know how much depth they can get from their younger playersbut I agree it will be a rebuilding year. They have a kid who played for Christian Academy as an 8th grader who could help. One thing is for certain. Mercy will always give a strong effort and the team work ethic is top notch
