Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Nelson County? Remember, please be constructive.

The Cardinals came together to make it all the way to the 5th Region finals last year, and lose just one player to graduation from that squad. Unfortunately, starting guard Marly Walls will start her second straight season on the sidelines while healing up a broken collarbone suffered in soccer.

Nelson County is small but fast and streaky, with a quick press. Walls, older sister Lakin and guard Shyla Calbert are excellent at harassing opposing ballhandlers.

The Cardinals usually face a challenging schedule each year, and they'll need the tests to get past E'town in the region. NC hosts E'town on Dec. 8.

Any new faces that will help NC this year?

Looking forward to watching them when they play in the Lexus Shootout in Lexington on Dec 5th
