  1. there is a special place for all those who give their precious time and hearts to our great game May the good Lord protect him and nurse him back to good health
  2. Chris Stallings always looks for good oppostion
  3. Look for much depth from youngsters Smith and Blackford If this group can jell they could be unbeatable in the 7th The main question marks are that all of them do not play hard all the time..may be a reflection of poor practice habits or getting by on talent as opposed to being the best they can be at all times As with all teams with much talent they must all learn to play a role that may not be the one they wanted or their parents wanted Of course the same issues apply to almost all the 7th region teams. they all have depth and talent...which coach can stir the pot to get the ingredients to work together?
  4. If they win 12 games it will be a good season for them.... Their entire schedule is on not KHSAA site as of yet but there is not much offense in those kids listed above..Wurth is a fouling machine,,Babey can shoot but cannot handle ball very well. Olinick scored nostly last year because the defenses had to key on Kielser, Fusseneger is hot and cold ...I do not know much about their other players..do they have any impact players from incoming freshman? Coach Siegel will get them to play hard but not much depth or talent in the program
  5. I heard from a KY Premier coach that she had an awesome weekend at her AAU tournament this past weekend
  6. This team should be loaded...Malaka Frank, Dasia Kilbourne, Princess Stewart, Rebecca Cook and Anna Arristia will give them a formidable starting five...
  7. As far as Lexington Catholic tourney goes...anyone know who is going? Usually most of the best teams from the state are there to answer my own question I looked on KHSAA website and the following teams have stated they are playing in Lexington Lexington Catholic Mason Co Simon Kenton Russell Scott Co Belfry Elizabethtown Mercer Co Garrad Co East Carter Paul Dunbar Fern Creek South Warren Danville' Ryle Murray
  8. Anyone know who the State teams who are coming to the LIT this year? I have heard Highlands, Etown and Mercer Co but am not sure if any or all of these are correct
  9. RCC9 usually knows his stuff when it comes to the ninth region...But it looks to be very well balanced
  10. Do not count out Bullitt East..they are well coached and all their kids usually play ther roles very well...I agree Butler has the most talent, but they had chemistry issues last year and it came back to haunt them at the end of the year
  11. PRP does not have the depth nor the disciplne to compete with the top dogs in the 6th. I agree on Mitchell..she is a beast when she want s to be..Brown seemed to pout alot last year... If the Mercy post player tore her ACL that will put a damper on their chances...she was very aggresive..But the Jaguars are well coached so they are always a factor
  12. there will be more it is doubtful if all the teams have posted their schedules yet..
  13. do any of these teams have the strength to compete witht he Louisville Powerhouses or Etown?
  14. Mason and Campbell should battle it out in the 10th...that will be a war
  15. Any thoughts about who the top ten teams will be at the start of the season?
  16. North Bullitt will be pretty good as well..just think they are a little below those three others Katie Downey is the real deal though
  17. Those are all good solid names TheMrBasketball I also left off McCune I meant no disresepct..I just was reciting from memory..Needless to say the 7th region is loaded with fine players
  18. If I had to list the teams in 6th and 7th region and which are stronger I would go as follows 1 Butler 2 Male 3 Bullitt East 4 SHA 5 Manual 6 Eastern 7 Mercy but there is hardy any wiggle room...you could throw them all in a bottle and pull them out at random and come as close as my list...much parity and that should bode well for the season
  19. In no particular order I would list the impact players of the 7th region to be Green Male Berger SHA Curry Manual Blackford Manual Johnson Manual Sexton Male Samsel SHA Harris SHA Browning Male Porter Eastern Pearl Eastern Sivils SHA Coffey Eastern Smith Eastern Smith Manual Kinnard Eastern Collins Eastern Cole Central Calhoun CAL Babbey Assumption I am sure I left off a few but I am going by memory from what I saw this summer If you can think of others certainly comment to add them
  20. the 6th region will be dominated by Butler, Bullitt East and Mercy. Lindsay Duvall of East and Jaelynn Penn of Butler are true talents.. Both are D1 players. Mercy will get by using their system but they have lost some quickness and will have plenty of height this season with Anderson returning from an ACL, Muss and Feldkamp. I suspect they will be forced to play much zone with the height they have. But they are well coached and will be a factor. PRP is probably the best of the rest but they are well below those three
  21. I do not consider Eastern a 2nd tier team..they are a true contender along with Male, Sacred Heart and Manual..Below that you have CAL, Central, Presentation and Assumption. CAL is extremely young with a new coach. Coach Franklin always gets her girls to give a good effort. Coach Jackson is the same. The Toppers have much pride. Assumption is interesting. Coach Siegel will do her best, but this team will struggle vs good competition. They are about 4 years away from competing at the top level in this region.
  22. this team fun to watch and plays very tough each night out. They can shoot with the best of them..Look forward to seeing them in Lexington this winter
  23. Manual has loads of talent...If their seniors will accept the new younger more talented players and be supportive they can have a big year. The 7th region is a crapshoot. any one of 4 teams can win it and each of the four would be co favorites with Etown and Butler or Bullitt East to take it all
