Eastern 68 Sacred Heart 58

One of my sources tells me SHA basically started taking very bad shots once Eastern got that 4th quarter lead. Instead of bonding together, they wilted under the pressure trying to catch up all at once. Each person was tryngto do it themselves. Also heard SHA was intimidated and would not drive to the basket after a couple of charging fouls called on them early in the game. Like you sa passthe ball it is early. I am sure Coach Moir will figure something out. She has a good history in doing that. -

If Eastern wins that tourney they will have beaten Bowling Green Mercer Etown Butler all in a row...I call that a real murderer's row -

Sacred Heart at Eastern Dec 15
kyhoopfever replied to passtheball's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
got a feeling this one will be decided at the free throw line Porter should have a field day since Sacred Heart as no interior defense If Eastern is forced into a half court game, it will be close. Am impressed with Eastern's freshman players Pearl and Kinnaird. Sacred heart is difficult to defend because of their quickness. Is Eastern disciplined enough to keep from sending SHA to the line? I am sure passthe ball will keep us up to date -

Always sad when a player incurs a serious injury Get well and rehab hard -
Bluegrasspreps Girls Rankings 12/8/15
kyhoopfever replied to Jesse James's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Here is the early rankings from Max Preps Howerver these are a ittle distorted because not all schools report their results and of course we are onlhy a few games into the season 1Marshall Co 2 Sacfred Heart 3 Harlan Co 4 Caverna 5 Scott Co 6 Ryle 7 Barbourville 8 Dupont Manual 9 Carlisle Co 10 Nelson Co Now before everyone laughs and rolls in the aisles, realize I am promoting teams to actually get on Max Preps and report their scores. This will our state be better identified in the national scene and also help our state get the recognition it derserves -
Shelby County 49 Assumption 41
kyhoopfever replied to Ballinislife's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Shelby made many stupid fouls in this game to help keep it closer but Assumption plays hard and with a purpose Lots of freshman for the Rockets and some not too talented upper classman but the effort often makes up for lack of talent -
Eastern @ J-town 12/9
kyhoopfever replied to lets talk ball's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Tough to play these games Lots of disparity in talent among girls teams out in the state Nothing like watching two good girls teams play but blowouts are getting more common these days -
Bullitt East at Butler tonight
kyhoopfever replied to Maddog15's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I have not seen the score but I assume Butler win easy since Duvall is out for East -

Maybe just maybe the Valkyries are for real Talked to s few coaches who saw them in Lexington and they were very impressed with their defense and unselfishness offensively -
Mason County 50 Ryle 47
kyhoopfever replied to RaginRoyals's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)

Ryle is going to surprise alot of people this season -
Sacred Heart 53 Highlands 52

I am sorry but you all seem to think that public school kids should not or do not have the option to attend a private school. It is a sad fact theat public schools especially in Louisville are not very good. If a kid is academically focused why should they not have the opportunity to attend a private school of that is what their parents think is their best option? It not always about recruitng -

If the go to Diddle they will be a long way from the state tourney which is at NKU -

Sacred Heart 53 Highlands 52
kyhoopfever replied to Lawnboy13's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Wish I could have seen this game...I think Sacred Heart will improve immensely throughout the year. Word is they have great chemistry after all the drama queens are gone from last year. Sometimes subtraction leads to great addition Highlands will also be a hughe 9th region contender. Both the 7th and 9th regions are more like watching the show Survivor. Any number of teams can win. That round ball bounces funny sometimes -
Franklin County 68 Campbell County 47
kyhoopfever replied to Your Daddy's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Folks Franklin Co is extremely talented. They are a top 5 team in my opinion. Frank Kilbourne Cook and Stewart are all a handful to have to worry about. All can score and when they spread the floor they are lethal -
Were there a bunch of fouls called Was the game physical

Holy Cross (Covington) 54 Assumption 35
kyhoopfever replied to jumpball's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Good first outing for the Ladies Lots of holes to fill and having an easy opponent builds confidence but the Assumption kids really played hard to offset their lack of individual talent -
Four former NewCath players on the same floor
kyhoopfever replied to Lawnboy13's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I assume they got court time with all world Sydney Moss
