Clark County 2015-16

Featured Replies

Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Clark County? Remember, please be constructive.

With Flowers and Hardiman leading the way. I can see the Lady Cards trying to win another regional title again this year.

Let's not forget Sydney Anderson. I think she was the 2nd leading scorer for GRC last season. I also heard that she has committed to Hillsdale College, an NCAA D2 school in Michigan and will sign during the early signing period. I think most are forgetting that GRC still has some talent and could be right in the mix in the 10th.

GRC will be in the mix..they are extremely young in certain spots...I still think Mason and Campbell are a cut above them but March is a long way from now..plenty of time to improve

Couple of the GRC girls came up to NKY and played AAU with some of the top players from Campbell, Mason and Scott this summer. I think playing and practicing with these top players added to the fine coaching they get at GRC and will pay dividends for GRC. I also heard that Sydney Anderson was going to commit to Hillsdale, getting an inspired player in Anderson who works and plays hard.

How could I forget her.....must have been a white headed moment....:lol2: she will be a very important part of how far the Cards can go this this. One of the 10 ten players in the region.

Replacing Skinner and Taylor will be a hefty, but not impossible job for the Cards.

GRC's starting 5 should look something like this (keeping in mind that its still October):

PG - Jasmine Flowers

SG - Kylee Murray

3F - Sydney Anderson

4F - Malea Bell

5 - Elizabeth Hardiman

All have varisty experience some more than others, and have played together for several years (with the exception Flowers who came in last year). The cupboard is far from bare, but this combination will need to work hard to put things together for a good run.

Its a team that can have phenomenal chemistry but will need to find its groove. Perhaps its own identity? Time will tell because I would imagine the coaching staff has another brutal schedule in store.

Well said. Always love to see your posts on the Cards and appreciate you knowledge of them.

Will the Flowers kid stay? I hear she is transfer prone. Or at least has been in the past.

Either way should be another exciting year in the 10th region. Several good teams, and plenty of must see games on the slate. I for one cant wait to get the season started. :thumb:

Seems like a lot of posts on other threads has made the 10th region a two horse race between Mason and Campbell. Just don't think it's that cut and dried.

Agreed Opie. Mason, Campbell, Scott, Brossart, Bracken, GRC could all lay claim to some hardware before the season is over. definitily not a two horse race by any means. And I'm sure the schools that most are not talking about dont mind not being on the radar. Takes a little of the preseason pressure off them.

Rick, you seem pretty knowledgeable. Care to share your thoughts over in the "Rank the Districts" thread?
