Elizabethtown 2015-16

Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from E'town? Remember, please be constructive.

All-American and Notre Dame commit Erin Boley. Enough said.

She really is fun to watch. a cut above the rest. Watched her this summer noticing no one on the court was in her league.

Elizabethtown should be pre season #1 ..Boley can beat most teams by herself

Is this 2015/2016 team better than last years team? They lost some very good players from last year's team due to graduation.

I don't believe they are as good as last year but they will still make a run for a state championship. No one else in the 5th region should come close.

E'town's also got Jada Stinson (shined at State, various D-I offers) and Rachel Warden (4-year starter at PG, shined at State in 13).

Junior forward/post Taylor Thomas is a D-I softball commit who actually led her class (2017) to the middle school conference title and some sort of KBA state tournament title. She would have started at every other team in the region last year had she not been behind a D-I player (Cleaver).

Fifth starter is a bit iffy. No other proven player, but E'town's got a sun (Boley), two planets (Warden, Stinson) and a comet (Thomas). No one else's galaxy comes close in the 5th Region.

Pfeiffer or Deaton should probably be the fifth starter, with Deaton or Pfeiffer being top option off the bench followed by Knight. There's a couple of JV girls who will see more playing time (they were better off practicing against E'town's studs last year than gettting spot varsity minutes at other region schools against weaker competition) and E'town also got the best player from North Hardin Christian (non-KHSAA school, so immediately eligible), so we'll she if she helps.

Is this E'town team better than last year? No.

However, other teams took huge graduation losses.

Plus, Boley has been held back at times. This year, it's green light. It's her show.

If she stays healthy, she'll average between 30-40 ppg.

You can't stop her on the glass. E'town's best options are Boley herself and then someone else shooting (with Boley blocking out for the board).

You CAN'T foul her. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Teams/coaches who foul her are absolute morons (unless you are fouling her with scrubs/bench players) because it is foolish to have your starters get in foul trouble against Boley.

Boley is at her best when her defender has 4 fouls. Because Boley will eat her alive or foul her out.

I think Nathaniel has summed up Etown very well...I expect them to romp in the 5th..the rest of the region is not that talented

Erin Boley is one of the best players to come through the state in awhile. Etown deserves a number one ranking just because of her. Add the other high level players and anything short of a state championship will be a disappointment. They will have a great season

This is E'towns championship to lose. They are the clear favorites in my book. No one in the state is even close to Boley's skill set.

One girl doesnt win you a championship. She is the best player in the state in my opinion. One off game for her/foul trouble and they are out at the state tournament against a good team. Thought she struggled in the game they lost last year, for example.... she is one that I think will have great college career, and will enjoy watching her at the next level. She definitely can play at her normal position of a 3/4.

Which is why its E'towns Championship to lose. They are hands down the best, but you are correct that they can possible lose just like last year. How about this....they have the highest percentage chance of winning the state title this year.

I definitely think they have one of the highest chances, but I wouldn't say they are absolutely going to win based on one player. If they didn't win the championship last year with a much better team, than a team could catch them on an off night and knock them out just like last year.

E-town should be ranked #1 out of the gate. Boley clearly is the best player in the state no question. That being said they lost 3 very good players. It's gonna be hard to replace those minutes.

Male is better in my opinion as I have stated, they have a D1 player of their own and she is a true post player, they made the final 4 last year and return everyone
