  1. Good to see Leffew and the Patriots get a playoff win
  2. Pretty good game by the Rebs. If Waggeners speed gave Central trouble then I think Boyle might have a good chance to run with Central. It will be a heck of a game next week! I'll have to miss it though due to wedding anniversary and the wife's birthday.
  3. Waggener's speed doesn't impress me. They're about as fast as Boyle is. They're quick but not blazing fast like I was made to believe.
  4. Waggener's speed does concern me very much the same way Lex Cath's speed at the WR position concerned me several weeks ago. I will not be surprised to see this game end up as a close one. IF Boyle can jump out to a quick 14-21 point lead this game might end up ugly but my gut feeling doesn't tell me that will happen. I'm looking forward to watching this one up close and personal!
  5. Out of curiosity what are the perks of being a premium member vs a non premium member?
  6. Landon Young from Lafayette to Boyle County. Boyle has good pieces in the skill positions they just need some extra love from the offensive line. His size and strength coupled with a Chuck Smith's disciplined coaching style would be a sight to see.
  7. I would like to see Kentucky get rid of the crazy amount of districts we have and go to regions. Everyone plays everyone in the region and top 4 make the playoffs. Regions would be 7-9 teams. It would leave an extra week or two for teams to schedule their crosstown rivals or play in a bowl game. It would eliminate a week of the playoffs but it would make also eliminate the 1-9, 2-8 and 0-10 teams from getting in.
  8. I don't think they forgot...I think they saw their path and said I don't think that one is possible. Round 1 Waggener Round 2 @ Central Round 3 @ Lexington Catholic Round 4 @ Caldwell County or someone way out west Round 5 vs Belfry. That just screams ouch. I don't know of a potential contender that has a tougher route in 3A and possibly the entire state.
  9. South Warren John Hardin Mercer County Ashland South Warren vs Ashland South Warren
  10. Should also add that these are the only 2 schools in the small county of Boyle. The county has a total population of a little over 25,000. Boyle has 7 State Championships 1999,2000,2001,2002,2003, 2009, 2010 Danville has 10 State Championships I couldn't tell you each year. I know there was one in the 60's, three in the 80's, three in the 90's and three in the 2000's.
  11. This started in the early 2000's when both schools in In Boyle County won the state title in their respective classes in back to back years 2000-2001 then both schools won again in 2003. In 2004 both schools finished as state runner ups.
  12. If they are passing as good as they say I give them a definite advantage in the possible round 2 matchup and an advantage all the way to Bowling Green.
  13. Offense hasn't been great since Catholic. Worrisome heading into the playoffs.
  14. I do understand that this is the way it is for at least half the schools around the state and more than likely the country. Doesn't mean I'm going to agree with it.
  15. Can they? Yes. Do I think they will? No. Coach Smith will have the Rebels refocused this week and I'm sure the players will want to finish off the regular season with a win. Dunbar has been struggling to score and they are a run oriented team. We have seen how well the run game fares against the BC defense. Could end up being a pretty low scoring game.
  16. I don't like that this is a topic but unfortunately it happens. IMO if a coach teaches his players to be good men, play hard until the end, good sportsmanship, respect and as much about the game of football as he can then he is successful at his job. Wins are always nice and championships even better but ultimately an individual cannot control the talent he receives year in and year out so wins and losses shouldn't have a big effect on wether a coach is fired or forced to resign. Too bad that there are many who do not feel this way.
  17. The reason for the scheduling grid was that several years ago when the KHSAA went away with opposite districts in each region playing each other in the first round in an attempt to save on travel for teams. The result ended up being many teams playing the same team for the last week of the reg season and for the first round of the playoffs. The fix to that problem ended up being the scheduling grid we currently have. That way at least one game would be in between playing a repeat foe. That playoff format only lasted a couple years before the KHSAA reverted back to the system we have now but they never switched the scheduling grid back. I hope I didn't confuse you too much
  18. Louisville Central is the 1 seed. These teams are fighting for 2-4
  19. Win or lose Henry County is the 2 seed. The interesting part is the Waggener or Bardstown outcome.
  20. Ouch that's definitely a tough playoff road. I would rather have Butler's route for sure even though the destiny is probably the same. Out in the first round.
  21. I like that barker is willing to hit the check down on his progressions
  22. Jeez Dak is tearing us up. It doesn't even look like he's trying out there.
