  1. I heard Campbells defense played really well again East Central. They really only gave up one touchdown, the other two for EC came from a pick 6 and a punt return. Should be an exciting game.
  2. I think it varies from season to season pending on the players you have available. You don't want to force the two platoon system.
  3. I went through the same situation at G-town, and might I add completely happy with how it turned out. You have to really want to play at the DII and DIII level, you are more than likely playing in front of a smaller crowd than you did in high school, you are no longer the super star and yet you still get the bumps and bruises and potential injuries that come with football.
  4. I may be mistaken but I believe HHS "DI" QB was also coming out as a first time full starter for varsity. I know you had DI quoted like 5 times and then edited on me before I could post.
  5. I was out on the river last night until about 11:30 and only saw one shooting star pretty bummed.
  6. I saw that as well, I think they are Nike. I'm not really a fan of how small Highlands is across their chest but that is pretty much how all Nike jerseys are.
  7. Simon Kenton, Ryle, Cooper and a go either way with Campbell. I don't know much about CCH and what their situation is this coming year.
  8. As hard as it is to admit you are exactly on point with this post...
  9. What year is Bucher? @Qryche11
  10. Played in both Louisville and WKU stadiums for state, WKU by far was a much better atmosphere as a player and definitely made the long haul worth it. The locker rooms were much nicer at WKU as well, we didn't get to use the nice locker rooms in Louisville.
  11. That's a scary thing to think about... Average Joe's may be no more, there will either be the top of the food chain or the bottom I presume.
  12. I think it will be like anything else when it first comes out, in the beginning only a certain group can afford. But as time goes prices come down to where the average Joe can afford it. You can walk down the street in the projects and see Iphone 6's now, whereas a few years ago it was a flip phone or no phone.
  13. It sounds like a terrible place to live, and it sounds like everyone will be lazy as can be because everything will be automated.
  14. I haven't been to a HHS practice since I was participating in them 6 years ago but I would find it hard to believe upper classmen have stopped beating on the underclassmen. Like Q said its a rite of passage for the young lads.
  15. I am not disagreeing with you, I was just saying how the coaches saw it where I played. Tracking a fly ball through the outfield is about as good of practice for running down a fade in football as you can find other than actually practicing football.
  16. The coaches I had always recommended football players to play basketball because it helped with foot speed and agility. Baseball on the other hand gets right in the middle of spring ball/winter weights. They never said you can't play baseball but there is always a difference in physical condition come summer between the players that played baseball and the ones that went all through winter weights and spring ball. Which leads to those players that went through winter weights/spring ball all year being in a better position to win a spot on the field over the summer.
  17. I think Chase was predominantly the starter from 2003 -2005, the only reason he wouldn't have started a game would've been to injuries if I am remembering correctly.
  18. Matt Elam for UK was a 5 start recruit :ohbrother:... Sometimes the rating system can be a little off
  19. Yeah I get what you mean, however if he is playing so well on the freshman squad as an 8th grader I think he would benefit more by practicing all summer long going against varsity guys rather than the freshman team. I understand JV games are nothing compared to varsity games but the idea of him getting to practice with and against varsity players all summer would be great. Just my opinion but I don't know anything.
  20. I agree, I think he would benefit more by playing JV next year rather than playing freshman ball again.
  21. Yeah a little contradicting but it hasn't been much of a rivalry since 2006 it's been very lopsided.
  22. Part 1 of a successful season at HHS has been completed, Beat Cov Cath. Now time for the second part of a successful season. State Champs!
