As of a few weeks ago, it’s a done deal. Coach in place.

Aspire will have post grad next season. The coach is in place already. This is a good situation for Jay. Won’t have to leave home. He knew he’d have to go to prep. He said in an article in the newspaper awhile back that he had some old academic issues and wouldn’t be able to qualify out of high school.

Chance Moore isn’t injured. He graduated in 2017. He’s at a prep school before college.

Oh man. This is fun.

I worry about the 9th region refs in the Creek/Doss game. Hopefully they don’t destroy the rhythm. Apparently they had a rough night in the Fairdale/Doss and PRP/Butler games.

Postseason.... Bibby time.

What a long painful season for Taylor County. Rock bottom came quick.

All the excuses and “what ifs” in the world for Spencer. If they don’t have any size next year, they have zero chance of being competitive. Sure, they’ll win some games. But much like this year. When it comes time to grind, they’ll be short handed.

I took a lot of flack from someone on this board before the season for saying that Spencer was still a year or two away. Well. They are. They have some talented young guys. But physical growth, and experience, matter more than talent in these postseason grinders. Spencer will be fun to watch next season.

I don’t even know if it’s something that can be discussed in the controversial forum. It’s pretty bad.

Another could be Danny Edelen from Male. He was at North Oldham and Waggener as a head coach before. Been an assistant the last few years. Has a stud 8th grade son. He could potentially land a job next season.

Dare I say, the 8th region threads have overtaken the 9th region threads as “most hostile”. District and regional chatter is going to be very entertaining.

-Carlos Mitchell from Fern Creek will be a great head coach if he decides that’s the route he wants to take. -John Hunt from Fairdale will get another opportunity one day. He’s a big reason they’re having the season they’ve had.

What a brutal slide to the bottom for Taylor County.

Most people don’t understand the level of teams/talent at the D2/NAIA level. The difference is generally size up front.

Harsh isn’t the intention. He did a phenomenal job getting them to where they are. But once you’re at the top, you have to adjust to stay there. The kids had an incredible hunger playing the underdog the last few years. Do you honestly think it’s still there? It doesn’t appear to be. This team has won some great games, but they’ve tailed off. He still has time to eat them focused. I’m sure he’ll play the “they’re all writing you off” card now. Hopefully it works. I love watching those kids play. Anthony Wales is the best PG in the state IMO.

Two really well coached teams going at it. The late charge call was a little suspect, but this was always “anyone’s game”.

I don’t have a hatred for Schooler. But there is a familiar pattern to the games they’ve lost this season. I think the kids are pressing themselves. It’s up to him to calm them down. Can’t always be the hype man. That works when you’re the underdog.

Coaching gets Fern Creek again....

Bad loss for Collins. Bullitt East isn’t what they have been the last few years.

That’s an interesting turn of events. His son is a big QB prospect that got a little sideways with the football coach this year. Wonder if that was a factor.

I’d say Fern Creek proved a point tonight in throttling Bullitt East.
