  1. would agree there. My assumption is since Cochran averaged 11 ppg at Collins last season he was ranked lower than some guys in front who averaged more points even though he does have a very high ceiling and 3 D1 offers already. Would not be shocked if he plays like a top 5 player this season.
  2. what's your thoughts on them? I know of at least 2 transfers at Taylor and North Hardin who were not in there in time who would be top 10 likely also.
  3. Cats Pause has released their annual rankings, here are the top 10 team and player rankings for the 5th region. 1. Elizabethtown 2. Washington County 3. North Hardin 4. Taylor County 5. Adair County 6. Central Hardin 7. Larue County 8. Green County 9. Hart County 10. Bethlehem Player Rankings 1. Brett Decker, 6'2 SR- Central Hardin 2. Ayden Evans 6'10 SR- Etown 3. Daniel Allen 6'5 SR- Larue County 4. Shaun Boykins 6'2 SR- North Hardin 5. Beau Baker 6'8 SR- Washington County 6. Taveon Smith 6'2 SR- North Hardin 7. Connor Loy 6'0 JR- Adair County 8. Layken Lyons 6'2 JR- Taylor County 9. Hayden Blakeman 6'5 JR- Green County 10. Isaiah Cochran 6'7 JR- Adair County
  4. This should be a good 3A district matchup Hart County comes in 6-0 with a 1-0 district record, they handled Caverna 46-6 last week. Adair comes in 4-2 with an 0-2 record in district losing to Franklin Simpson, then last week to Glasgow 36-16. Adair has showed they can play with these upper level district opponents but have yet to get over the hump. Hart County will bring a dangerous rushing attack with multiple options out of the Wing T formation. They do not throw the ball but a handful of times in most games. Adair will bring a more balanced attack throwing and rushing led by do it all QB Lane Grant. Adair Could be the toughest test Hart has faced besides Green County, and most certainly with the biggest line.
  5. For anyone wanting to watch this game Friday it will be on the WAIN RADIO YouTube page.
  6. A huge 3A district game Friday night in Columbia this week between the 5-0 Scotties and 4-1 Indians. Glasgow took down rival Barren County 36-35 last week while Adair rolled Monroe County 50-28. Here are some player stats to know of coming into this game - QB Lane Grant for Adair 173 ypg passing, 126 ypg rushing - Easton Jessie QB for Glasgow 168 ypg passing 12 TDS 0 INT, also has 4 rushing TDS Some good receivers in this one -Solomon Stonebraker 97 ypg with 4 TDS, Aiden Smith 54 ypg with 5 TDS -Rico Crowder and Jerrick Martin for Glasgow have combined for over 100 ypg receiving and 8 TDS -Defensively Glasgow has 10 team sacks and 8 interceptions -Adair does not get many sacks but have 9 interceptions including 4 from Smith and 3 from Stonebraker -Rushing wise Grant does most of it for Adair, with 2 other RB's sprinkled in, Glasgow is more RB by committee
  7. The Indians improve to 4-1 as their offense was clicking on all cylinders tonight. QB Lane Grant threw for 351 yards with 4TDS and also rushed for 98 yards and 2 TDS. This win sets up a big game with district opponent Glasgow next week in Columbia.
  8. Adair fell to 3-1 last week losing a nail biter at Franklin Simpson 27-20. Monroe shocked a lot of people by defeating previously undefeated Barren County 34-14 for their second win of the year. Should be a good physical game Friday night.
  9. Adair has a huge O-line its starters are listed 6'4 286 6'0 270 6'2 275 5'11 250 5'11 265 was curious how big Franklin Simpsons is in comparison
  10. I think for Adair to compete their line play will have to be on its game. Larue hit them in the mouth a little last week so hopefully it has Adair ready, but Franklin seems to have the best line both ways they have played.
  11. Have heard rumor that he is now actually at Taylor County
  12. This is the livestream link for Friday's game https://www.team1sports.com/highschool/ky/?S=franklinsimpson&B=597723
  13. Big first district game for both of these teams this week and both teams also enter 3-0. Franklin Simpson is coming in after a 31-21 win at Allen County-Scottsville last week while Adair County won at Larue County 13-0. Franklin Simpson is averaging 38 ppg while allowing 20 ppg. Adair County so far is averaging 34 ppg while only allowing 7 ppg. QB Lane Grant is who stirs the drink for Adair he is averaging 133 pass yards to go along with 149 rush yards in 3 games. Franklin Simpson is a run heavy attack led by Gavin Dickersons 98 ypg, and Blake Mcpherson's 50 ypg. Franklin Simpson averages 62 ypg threw the air and 272 on the ground while Adair is 133 ypg threw the air and 233 ypg on the ground. This will no doubt be Adair's toughest game so far in Coach Stonebrakers first season and will determine if they are a real contender in the district or not.
  14. Adair comes in 2-0 after defeating #10 ranked in 1A Bethlehem 49-21 last week. Larue comes in 0-2 though they have played two of the best teams in 3A so far in Glasgow and Hart County, losing last week to Hart 28-8.
  15. The Indians roll tonight and prove they may be better than most thought and the Steve Stonebraker era is off to a hot start. The Indians controlled the trenches all night and QB Lane Grant had a massive game going for 145 passing yards and 2 TDS to go along with 222 rushing yards and 5 TDS. The Adair defense also recorded 3 interceptions.
  16. 2027 Corey Flinchum has transferred from Jackson City to Wolfe County. Flinchum averaged 26 ppg as an 8th grader last year.
  17. These 2 teams meet for the first time since 2012 and both looked solid in week 1. Bethlehem took care of 5A Marshall County 55-13, while Adair beat rival Russell County 40-0. Both these teams look to have explosive offenses and will throw the ball some so expect a high scoring game.
  18. 3 Division one players in their starting lineup, so yeah its pretty rough. QB has been the issue to cost that group every season
  19. Indians run the clock In the season opener against the rival Lakers as Steve Stonebraker begins his Adair tenure in a nice fashion. JR QB Lane Grant threw for 140 yards and ran for 80 with a pair of TDS, while sophomore running back Ryder Rogers had 3 TDS and 106 yards rushing.
  20. Indians host the Lakers to start the year with new head coach Steve Stonebraker taking over and many returnees from last year. Lane Grant takes over QB duties now for Adair after being the lead running back the last 2 seasons, while Solomon Stonebraker the coaches son joins as a receiver and had 700 yards with 10 Tds last year at Casey County. Russell County won this matchup 27-14 last year but have lost some key contributors with a starting running back transferring, and 2 lead receivers deciding not to play.
  21. The 6'6 Cochran already holds 2 division 1 offers from Tennessee Tech and Eastern Kentucky University
  22. 6'10 2024 Nice Ngandu has enrolled at Bardstown. Not sure where he was before this. He moved to the states last year from Congo. Plays AAU for BMaze Elite
  23. Ballard losing to both Rockcastle County and Washington County was a huge shocker
  24. 2026 Landon Blakey has transferred from Taylor County back to Larue County where he went until high school. The 6'6 big averaged 8 and 6 as a freshman starting for Taylor last season.
