If Isiah Garrison can develop a perimeter shot and Mason County can get a inside presence then they will be a very very solid team offensively and defensively.

Go ahead and class them, MC might have more than 2 State Championship banners if it was done that way. I'd be more than happy not to have to play Lex Cath and all the big private schools. In the end Augusta and Bracken would still be in the same position with LCA, NCC, and schools like that.

You don't want him to bring up the past so why would you bring it up? Nothing we can do to change it now. Unfortunately my time machine broke. :(

Everyone seems to think that over 75% of those kids in a 3a school system are athletes or want to be athletes. When in all reality under 10% of them are. Look at the numbers on the football team for example the team roster keeps getting smaller and smaller but yet the student population keeps getting bigger and bigger. Academics is a much higher priority in the MC school district now than athletics as it should be, most of this is due to the superintendent change and some if it is due to kids being lazy and/or having the wrong attitude, which both are sad situations.

People seem to forget that the 2 years Augusta beat Mason it not only took heroics from Brent Bach but a choke job on Mason Co's part too. The 1st wasn't much of a choke job, but the 2nd sure as heck was. And if I was Bracken Co I wouldn't want the spotlight either, never had it before so why start now?

Same with Jordan Frodge and Brianna Littleton from Mason.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I personally don't think Augusta will beat them just because they lost Jason Hinson. If they still had him then yes I would see it happening very easily. I'm not sure Bracken will be used to the Hinson style by the time they play in regular season either. The entire X-Factor in this situation is Jason Hinson.

Should be very athletic with the exception of a few players. Good roster for a fast paced team.

Which 10-12 games do you see them losing sir? I see Lex Cath, Campbell, Holmes, Rowan, and possibly MoCo, GRC, Scott and Pendleton. Other than that I'm not seeing anything. That's just 8 games.

The best player doesn't always score the most points. Don't get me wrong Cummins is a really good player but she doesn't play the defense that O'Mara or Clos does. I think O'Mara and Clos are the two best overall players in the Region. But that's just my opinion. It's not worth much.

But wait didn't they create a position for Jason Hinson since he doesn't have his teaching certificate? Doesn't really sound like the same situation to me.

I was there watching, it was a very impressive finish. He didn't have his A game Monday but showed up when it mattered.

The majority of the time when an administration tells someone that they want to take any type of program athletic or otherwise in a "new" direction it's done for political reasons and most of the time that new direction is ??. It's sad but that's the lessons kids are learning in schools today, Its not about how well you do your job, it's all about who you know and who's friend you are! Sad. Good luck to Coach Kelsch!

Brad Cox does not want it, he plans to stay and coach the boys with Coach Biggs. PK will not come to MC either.

Yes, sorry not not replying sooner. Didn't have a chance to get to my computer the past few days. Hopefully the player changes his mind, he just told me personally he was considering transferring. Coach Biggs has his hands full as far as attitudes and that type of stuff go.

Has anyone heard the rumor that Brad Cox could be taking over the girls? I heard it yesterday but I don't see it happening.

As of now only 6 teams at Mason County will have returning coaches, baseball, softball, boys and girls golf, track, and XC.

Kids don't want to be coached and take the criticism and learn from it now days. It's sad, most of the ones that are wanting to transfer wanted Brian Miller to be head coach. The whole situation is bad and someone needs to grab ahold of these kids before they make a big mistake.

Brian Littleton and no I believe he still works for UPS. Or last time I heard he did.

Also all teaching positions other than Chemistry have been filled at MCHS. So it's the perfect fit now.

IMO it should be Rabbit's job, he's been coaching these girls to success since 2nd grade. Can't say I'm shocked that Piper is gone, I've heard things from practices and such that are very unprofessional. But whoever the next coach is they will have the opportunity to make history at Mason County.

Heard the same thing from the player myself. Sad people have this view of Coach Biggs when they haven't even met him yet. Smh.
