Are any of the 3 seniors signing this week or have they committed yet? The 1st signing period starts Wednesday, just wondering what their future plans are.

Darren Williams is just as experienced as Sweeney is, both will need to have some inside presence instead of staying away from the paint like they've done in the past. The Mason Co guards will really have to help them out with rebounding also.

Campbell Co and Mason Co will be top dogs in the region this year.

They played E-town and it was a very good game that O'Mara did not play in so E-town pulled away in the last few minutes to win by 8. They beat Covington Holy Cross really bad. Other than that I'm not quite sure.

As Rick said above 60+ years. You cannot compare Mason County and Bracken County. You walk in the Fieldhouse and see the banners and trophy cases you know it's something special. You can't walk into the Igloo and get the same feeling. 60+ years ago there's history and tradition but very little since then. If you based it all off of that then Robertson County(Deming) has more to offer than Bracken County does. Also this year is the Royals 1st year in 4A, which still has nothing to do with it because Brossart is also an All A school and so is Newport Central Cathloic. No matter how hard you try or what you say Bracken County will never be Mason County.

Here's the thing though, they're Mason County. Historically one of the best programs in the state of Kentucky. They have the tradition and history to have high standards as to where Bracken County doesn't. Comparing Mason and Bracken is like comparing apples to oranges. Even in the down years you cannot compare the two schools. End of discussion.

I find it humorous that people think Bracken Co is considered a 10th Region Championship team. Cmon guys, these players aren't the ones Hinson had at Augusta. They haven't experienced sucess or really been under pressure when it matters. There's a lot of things that needs to happen before you can consider them a 10th Region Championship caliber team. They could very easily be a 1st round knock out in the All-A, Paris will be no means a cake walk for anyone this season.

My point exactly. The Mason Co kids won't care at all if they're winning. Everyone on BGP putting them down and saying Bracken and Augusta will beat them has motivated them very much.

Not sure anyone in Mason County "enjoyed" the Bach years. These kids played football the 1st three years of high school and after this season didn't go so well I guess they figured to play basketball again. Can't really blame them for wanting to play.

They've still played basketball, just not on the team. I've played against them in the church league in Maysville. Believe it or not it's a really competitive league. Tyler Black, Justin Lang, Troy Gibbs,and other former highschool players. So lacking skills definitely won't be an issue for them.

I'm really excited to see how Coach Cox and the girls work together. Brad is an exellent X's and O's coach which is how Rabbit raised these girls. Expect great things in the near future with the talent, depth, athleticism, and mental toughness that this team has.

Agree 110% that's a big problem with teenagers these days. They're never wrong and think nobody can tell them what to do how to do or when to do it.

If he's ruled eligible that really changes things for Augusta and the shape of things in the 39th.

I personally feel that Mason/Campbell really separate themselves this year from the rest of the pack. MaCo will be very very deep so I would give them the advantage but I'm also unaware of the Lady Camels bench.

Last season they were also sophomores. They now are fully experienced juniors, I myself cannot wait to see them grow the next two seasons and see everything they can accomplish.

I also agree that the statement that MaCo will be going to the State Tournament is a bit ridiculous. But only time will tell.

But bringing up stats, errors, and other information to talk down the players of MaCo isn't right. Yes those games are the only thing to go off of but everyone forgets that the past is in the past. There's nothing those kids can do about it now to change it other than to work their tails off to keep it from happening again next year. Which they have been. I saw a tweet yesterday from a BC player towards two MaCo players about a incident that occurred between them and tried to relate it with the BC/MaCo baseball games. As far as the coaching statement I do agree with you, but from what I heard MaCo has a new assistant coach who has pretty much taken control of things over there. Not sure how true that is but just what I've heard.

The Mason/Paris game will be very interesting to watch if Pig Williams and Garrison are both 100%. It will show the true identity in both back courts when being pressured the entire game.

Just needs to get some meat on his bones then he'll be a force to reckon with. But by far the tallest player in MCHS and one of the best kids out there off the court also.

Then why all of the talk about a game that took place 5 months ago? There wasn't this much talk about it when the game took place. Why all of the sudden?
