In my opinion ranking or rating these player stars is kinda, not always OVERRATED. I say hard work beats talent every time. They took a pole of all the players that participated in the Super Bowls and low and behold, not one player on the rosters were 4, 5 star players in HS/ College. just saying.

The kid looks legit. For the teams that thought it was going to be a WR playing QB this season for Lex Cath, better take notice on this QB, only a junior to be.

Have the teams on hand. Lex Cath, Ryle, Anderson Co A&B team, FT Highlands A&B team and Grant Co. that is all... first game at 3pm.

It's old news but I loved it. Lexington schools in the final four, Awesome!

Will see if these great linemen can score too. Cause after watching WC skill personnel at UK 7-7, it's hard to pin point where their scoring going to come from.

How is that going to work out with the transfer rule? Players sit out a year or legit change of address?

Getting close Lex Catholic fans. I am curious and excited to see what this season of Knights version is going to be. High powered offense with Jones ( 1,600 plus ) on the ground, Ogbugo, Morris and the Thompson twins at WR and 3 returning O-line that has started since their freshman year and a QB that will surprise everyone. On defense, sure they will lack leadership with Boling, Mitchell and Couch to graduate, but like I mentioned at top, they have several returners in the secondary ( Rowady, Hickey ) and on the D- line... and in my opinion their LB crew will be stout with returning starters like Foster, Pedoroche and part time starter Sharp last season will all anchor the defense. Lex and Knights, Bluegrasscard, I am calling you guys out. What do you all think? But then again what do I know, I just a casual nerd fan that likes to read stats and occasionally attend games LOL.

And that was the only reason why I mentioned only winning 1 of the first 4, because of the questioned line. I know they have a bunch of skilled players, but not having a line vs teams like Cov and Lex Cath, Highlands will be tough. Just my opinion. Moderator said be constructive so I did. LOL

I don't know why there is a new head coach. Also what I meant to say was new coaches now are not quiet experience as a HC at the high school level. Not saying they will not be success in the future season.

ZERO experience in the head coach position and assistant coaches. He was a head coach of a middle coach and I believe he has his brother in the his staff who was a head coach, but did not last at that position. Not saying HC won't be successful, just taking about this season. Nothing wrong with the payers, all season vets and talented group, just quiet experience yet at the coaching position. That's how so....

It will be very tough to repeat. Highlands is a powerhouse program and Covington Catholic as well.

Talented group and has some key returners coming back. Might come down to coaching.

First 4 games are tough. Only seeing them winning vs Boone Co. And the last 2 games are definitely an L.

GreatLakes you are correct. Band was out of town that weekend so the 300 or so band members and 500 or so followers are the ones that fill the stands at Lafayette games. Don't get me wrong, they are an awesome matching band and a decent the football program. It's just sad that public schools in Fayette county don't have the support, except the immediate family members of the players.

Lexington Catholic has been attending EKU camp for the last few season. Prior to that they went to Georgetown College. I suppose its a good way to bond with teammates living in an atmosphere like that for a few days. I am all for it.

Hey Knights, how are your Knights going to fair this season. I know they lost their great QB and a handful of D1 on the defensive side. Should be exciting with the return of their RB and WR's.

UK is making progress? In what football? HUH! Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the current UK QB only a redshirt sophomore? So regardless Daniel still have to sit 2 maybe 3 season.

I would agree on 1 thing WhySoNegative.... These so called prospect camps at bigger colleges are just that, money making camp. Sure a university might catch the eyes of a players or 2 but how can a coaching staff evaluate 200-300 campers? that is why you try to attend some of the smaller camps/ FCS- D1AA or DII. Oh and BTW if the talent is there, recruiters will find you. Playing for Trinity, Highlands, Saint X will help you a bit because coaches will promote you to recruiters unlike smaller or unsuccessful program.

NO! Lol last season was one of the worst weather wise for the playoffs. Every playoff games I attended, the temp was in the 30's. Now if you can guarantee me 50's-60's during the late season and playoffs then YES.

Again I am a Fayette Co. public and private homer and I can only see 3 teams advancing deep in the playoffs. Prediction for Lafayette (6-4, 7-3 ) losing in the 2 nd round of 6A. LexChristian Academy ( 8-2, 7-3 ) perhaps a district title, but losing in the 2A regional final. Lexington Catholic ( 7-3 ) toss up between them and Boyle Co for the district and a toss up in the regional 3A. Now I know LC has had BC's number in the last few years. LC is 7-1 in there last 8 meetings with BC.
