Trump and the private prison industry
jbird replied to PurplePride92's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
Maybe that should be the topic of a new thread. What certain things should not be for profit or ran like a business. -
I thought you were lying about the flag pin topic until I searched the threads... smdh. I was like no way lol.

Nah, i'm having too much fun seeing what people are saying. Just like the devil said to stinkmeaner in Boondocks "I need you to spread ignorance in the community". I enjoy people freaking out just like they did with Obama and saying he was gonna put in place sharia law since he was from Kenya and a muslim :lol2:. Maybe peoples reason for being scared are justified or maybe they're not. I just wish Pres-elect Trump luck with uniting the country. His temperament as Pres-elect gives me hope and I hope he helps America become a better place and like Chapelle said on SNL I will give him a chance.

I think Trump is more of a politician than those who think he is anti-establishment want to let on. He's been in the "game" of politics for a long time. He has the help of the Senate and the House. Soon, he could possibly have the Supreme Court. Plus, in 2018, I believe I read out of 34 seats, the D's have to defend 28 of them. He'll balance the cabinet. He knows what he is doing.

Reince Priebus named Trump’s chief of staff - The Washington Post This is what I'm seeing so far. It seems more a strategic move to bound the Republicans together considering he was being recommended by the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. I will continue to look for an anti-semitic stance by him. If you're right PP92, alongside with the VP-elect's stance on LGBT it is worrisome. I'm not gonna pull a Van Jones and say this was a "white-lash". Considering many people who voted for Pres. Obama once and twice voted for Trump, my curiosity is what people were willing to look over in order to give a middle finger to the "establishment".

Dave Chappelle to host SNL on 11/12
jbird replied to formerkywrestler's topic in Television / Films / Music
It depends on the context. In my opinion, what kramer did was NOT comedy. He had a meltdown and had to do the cringeworthy "I'm not racist" crap on shows all over. Louie CK was able to use the n-word and did so using it alongside the c-word and a homophobic slur in a masterful way. I don't think there is a double standard in comedy. It's just the context in how you use it. -
What Obama's 8 years in office have taught me

Obama has taught me that being POTUS sucks and isn't worth it. -

Ezekiel Elliott facing lengthy ban?
jbird replied to Jumper_Dad's topic in National Football League (NFL)
Someone put it to me like this: If the NFL struggles to define what is and is not a catch, how in the hell is it going to be good at handling criminal issues. -
They're use to it.

Good job Highlands! I hope everyone left the game safe and sound.

Levels of how offended you are or would be
jbird replied to MentschTrachtGottLacht's topic in Controversial Issues
None of it. -
We will have to agree to disagree with the first part of your post. The 2nd part, the police encounter. I have some difficulty thinking that white people don't worry about how their kids conduct themselves around police. Funny thing, I have an encounter with the police I will tell you in private if you're down to hear it.

I like it. We didn't play great and still pulled out the W. Especially with the game on 9/11 and facing a NY team away.

Speaking of laws. I know pp92 brought up the crack rock vs powder. Surely they have rewritten that law.
