I would put corbin in the 5-7 range in the region, ive seen Taylor county, Owen county, Mercer county, Bryan Station, among others this year and the way Clay played tonight they are better than all of them.

After seeing Clay County destroy Corbin i think they are in the 10-12 range, also think Cov Cath should not be in there, and South Laurel should.

Clay dominated this game from the tip. Absolutely dismantled Corbin. Clay looked as good as any team ive seen this year, Blake Smith and Trey farmer led Clay with 22 points a piece. And Smith had a sick off the back board dunk from Wes wolfe. Andrew Taylor led Corbin with 21

If Taylor County is a Top 5 team in the state, then this is tge weakest the state has ever been. Perry is a decent mountain team, not very athletic that does shoot it well. Not impressed at all with Taylor, outside of Goodin and Sloan the rest are below average role players.

Yeah he's a special kid PP92, he had an in game windmill dunk that brought the house down in the opener against OBI. When him and Farmer are running on all cylinders Clay will be a tough out for anyone.

Clay gets down 11 points early but comes back to win on the road. Blake Smith had 28 points, 6 assists and Trey Farmer had 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead Clay.

Ill take Holmes, I watched Henry Clay this weekend against South Laurel and they did not impress me at all, South looked better at every position.

What did Clay county lose, they are returning over 85% of there production from last year and lost only 1 starter. they also went toe to toe with Owen county this summer while missing 2 starters. Blake Smith and Carson Williams went at each other the entire game. I think the list is pretty solid. But we will see Clay plays Ballard early, will be a good measuring stick for them.

If clays players buy in they will be better Playmaker, they have the one thing they where missing last year in a Big man who can bang. Get off that South Laurel bandwagon, they haven't proved anything yet.

Wayne County did not Beat the #25 team last week, They did however beat Clay County TN. by 18 pts, Clay County KY, plays their 1st scrimmage next week.

CLAY in the 13th, South adding Griffth helps but until you have proven you can win in the post season I'll take the boys who have been to 3 Straight regional finals and won 2 over the rest.

I 100% agree after the top 6 or 7 the next 18-20 are all very close, and have seen many of these players take it to higher ranked players.

Clay County will return 4 starters this season from a team that was upset In the region finals last season. Blake Smith, reigning 13th region POY, and Trey Farmer are 2 of the top 5 players in the region. A healthy Wes Wolfe this year also will improve the Tigers as he played all of last year with a hurt Achilles. Will Sexton will be the 4th state returning and could the spark that keeps this high powered offensive motor running. The Tiger weakness will be there inside presence as they have no true post player. Tyler "Big Red" Gray could fill that void if he continues to develop. The Tigers must also get better on the defensive end of the court as Smith is there only tru lock down defender. There Bench should be better than last year's teams, with Logan Gabbard, Coty Arnold, and Jacob Vaughn seeing the bulk of playing from the bench. Overall I expect the Tigers to be a top 2 team in the 13th region. And anything short of a 3rd regional title for this group would be a disappointment.

Just because it was a rule in the 70's or 80's doesn't make it good for today's game. Things have changed so much. So basically if Laurel county schools start on August 1st and Clay County Schools start August 8th and there is a camp on August 4th then Clay can go but Laurel cant. Crazy. In the 1800's they could hang you for horse thieving , let's just go back to that

TBC Elite lands big time player today, If the rumors are true. Blake Smith from Clay County has committed for the July session.

From what i was told today he has committed to TBC elite for the July session. He had only played 2 tournaments in the spring session due to prior obligations with college and elite camps. Was told today that Furman has inquired along with 8 to 10 other schools in the past couple of weeks.

Size hasn't killed him on the EYBL circuit. He was of the best pure point guards in that league. His numbers will stack against almost anyone. Haters gonna hate I guess.

I personally think these rankings are very accurate. They are not 100% but if you look at who is signed to play and the offers they have received, they are pretty darn close. The top 25 or so are 95% D1/D2 offers after that you then get into the NAIA and D3 offers. These rankings do not reflect how good of a HIGH SCHOOL player you are but more of your potential at the next level. JMO though.

I'm telling you I know this to be fact. This Was Put In Place LAST year. TONY PATTERSON will be the coach. Voight was coming back to Ky anyway, giving him the job satisfied the players and parents while giving Patterson a chance to get his feet under him. Unless something changes between now and them it's a done deal.
