  2. No, Madisonville-North Hopkins. Played on Manimal with Faulkner though.
  3. Yes, freshman Max Reyes: couple of assists, no points. Different atmosphere for him, very nervous. Had a nice scrimmage against McCreary Central Saturday though (whatever that means) lol.
  4. Final from Liberty. Jake Smith 24pts 12rebs Breece Hayes 16pts 5rebs Wyatt Slone 15pts 4rebs DJ White 12pts 5rebs Collin Miller 8pts 9asst Bench 5pts
  5. Anybody got any updates from the scrimmages at Pulaski County today? I know all 47th district teams were there.
  6. Yeah, he played against Bullitt East. He's packed on quite a bit of weight during football and that's really upped his game!
  7. I dig! Going to be a slobber-knocker of a region this time around! Wouldn't surprise me to see Jake Smith from Casey working his way into the top 10, as well as DJ White, just some bias opinions . Casey Rebs QB Breece Hayes (6'5) will most likely get the start at center for them as well, with Wyatt Slone coming off the bench. Lots of un-ordinary excitement surrounding our boys down here in Liberty, just hope we're up to the challenge! Nicely done Ram!
  8. Really looking forward to watching them and Casey County battle it out on December 10th. Casey should match up with Mercer about as well as any team in the 12th. Has the makings to be a nice early season game.
  9. Started out pretty good until I saw Pulaski at #4, then some credibility was lost for me. Boyle at #5 is awfully generous as well.
  10. Per several Wayne County faithfuls, Rodney Woods will be HC this season.
  11. I like the idea of a Casey Co Runnin Rebs small ball team, with the option of a big lineup as well. I hear that Jr Reyes has good court vision, and is a pass first type of guard. I also think Jake Smith at the 3 will be a tough matchup for teams, along with DJ White at 4. Guess my point is that Stallworth has options now, and doesn't have to be stuck playing a big lineup against Southwest, or a small lineup against Mercer/Wayne.
  12. Casey beat Russell last season by a last second field goal.
  13. Dj White looks like a man among boys out there. Watched a Russell County defender wrap him up at the 10 yard line, and Dj drug him into the end zone for a touchdown. We have a decent receiving core, and QB Breece Hayes has started out pretty strong, got Casey's passing game looking better than I've seen in several years. Collin Miller is moving the chains pretty good running the ball, and has a couple of kick return td's. Good size line too, biggest problem with casey that has been recurring for a good while has been numbers. We have around 30-40 kids, but only 20 get significant minutes.
  14. Someone give me an update on West Jess. What should we expect outta them? They have basically slid under the radar up until this point, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they pan out.
  15. The Lake Cumberland Holiday Hoops Classic in Pulaski County has typically been a nice tourney. Books 16 teams all together I believe.
  16. I haven't seen Daniel since last season, but just basing him from that, I'd say he won't have too much of a problem adjusting to Coach Woods scheme. He ran the floor pretty well, and had decent hands at somerset. As far as the general lineup is concerned, Wayne will have some significant size. Coldiron, Nick Gillespie, and Jackson Baker are all at or better than 6'5. They may not play those 3 at the same time with Stearns and Blevins, but I'd have to guess that to be their starting lineup come winter. I kinda felt coming into this season that Wayne already held an advantage over Southwest at the #2 rank, just from experience alone. Now they may just have gotten a piece that put them over SW as it stands today. SW's backcourt is top-notch tho, so I'm probably wrong… :idunno:
  17. I have trouble ranking teams that have yet to play a season together. Talent or no talent, player chemistry is a huge factor that's not decided during summer.
  18. I'm a bit bias toward them, considering I'm an alum and such, but in my honest opinion im projecting this 2015-2016 Casey County team to be a top 5 team in what is sure to be a very competitive 12th Region. What they have ~ Casey Returns a strong junior class which includes a real nice Backcourt Duo of Collin Miller and Jake Smith, as well as a capable forward, Breece Hayes. They also return a very athletic/very motivated senior in DJ White, who brings a unique intensity that isn't matched by many others in the 12th. Throw in a 6'6 forward Wyatt Slone, as well as a couple streaky wings, and Casey County oughta stack up pretty good in my book. I see no reason as to why they wouldn't be a favorite for the 47th district title this season, and a legit contender come regional tourney time. Coach Stallworth will be entering his 3rd season with the Rebs, and I know that no other coach in the 12th wants success more than he does. Bottom line ~ I am obviously not a fortune teller, but this is the most talent that has been at Casey County in a long time, and I expect that they are going to do their best to prove it.
  19. Boyle is my favorite for the 45th district. Will also be one of the better defensive teams in the region.
  20. All this from a guy that called the 46th the toughest District in the 12th Region, c'mon man, bias or not you and me both know that with the addition of Butt and Fitzgerald SW beats Mercer. And me pro-mercer? My post mentioned nothing about 'me' giving Mercer too much credit. Actually referring to the Titan faithfuls that feel like their boys are gonna be untouchable this season, and that's just simply not the case IMO. We are still allowed to post our opinions on here arn't we? You were probably one of the few that called a Mercer win against Lincoln last year in the 12th Region Tourney "When it Mattered"...
  21. Good point. I feel like the 12th will be a dogfight this year, and as crazy as it may sound, more competitive top to bottom than last. I legit think that there are 6 teams with as good a chance as the other to go to Rupp. Last year there were 3, IMO. (BC,LC,WC)
  22. Honestly I'm most impressed by the fact that Southwestern played Mercer to a 2 point game, without 2 of their 3 best players. Maybe I haven't given SW the proper credit? Maybe Mercer is getting too much? Regardless, it is June, just stunned me a little I guess.
  23. Heard that Casey Co won the Morehead State Team Camp over the weekend. Anyone have any details?
  24. Yeah, I'd probably classify stearns as a backcourt player also. Him and Blevins might be the best overall 1-2 punch in the region.
  25. Other great backcourts off the top of my head and in no particular order: Mercer (Hagar/Faulkner) Southwestern (Gover/Fitzgerald/Butt) Casey (Miller/Smith)
