  1. Congrats to Coach Borchers and his Cooper team. They just might be the best team in NKY. Time will tell! NCC faithful know this routine over the last few years. They do have a very winnable game this week against Campbell Co and then tough matchups with Belfry and Conner before starting district play. Bottom line, they will win their district and battle for a spot in BG. TO SUCCEED......
  2. Bracken Co is much improved. They were controlling the game until a fumble in their own side of the field gave the Panthers a shot in the arm. Great job by Ludlow coaches for making adjustments at halftime and getting the boys to come out and play with a passion the 2nd half that we didn't really see the first half, turning a 7-6 halftime lead into a 24-6 victory. Michael Camarena had a huge game for Ludlow. Justin Blackburn, Dalesean Holbert, Nate Wyrick, Kalib Mitchell and Big Gibby keep having big weeks. Panthers travel to Paris next week. Little revenge on the Panthers mind after the playoff loss last year. PANTHER PRIDE!!
  3. Great job by the Panthers tonight. Incredible effort from everyone. Enjoy it tonight, fix the mistakes tomorrow, get ready for Bracken Co.
  4. First of many offers for Mr. Slusher. I absolutely love watching this kid play. Of course that is when our Panthers aren't playing Beechwood. Good luck Brett, between your talents and the 30 on the ACT the skies the limit for you.
  5. All I know in talking to some of the players is they are working extremely hard. They are confident they have can a great season. They have some great senior leadership this year. Obviously depth is a key. Cannot afford too many serious injuries. I am really anxious to see these kids play. I know they have a ton of heart and desire. GOOD LUCK PANTHERS!!!!
  6. Super proud of Tyler for achieving his goals of furthering his education and getting to play college baseball. CCU is getting a very devoted and hard working player. It was an honor and privledge to coach him for 2 years. We all know Tyler will make us very proud at CCU both in the classroom and on the field.
  7. Great high school baseball game. Ziegelmeyer and Ruwe were sensational. Both teams played their butts off.
  8. POY vote is going to be difficult. Tyler Lyons has had a tremendous year for us at Ludlow. Ramey and Martin have both been awesome this year. I love watching Ethan Harrison play for Dixie (unless we are playing them). Also, Henry Kerns has been Mr. Consistent. Purnell from CovCath, Slusher from Beechwood, Seibert from HC- the list goes on. Great years from all of these guys and quite a few more. Lot of baseball talent in NKY.
  9. #1 St. Henry vs. #4 Lloyd #2 Dixie Heights vs. #3 Ludlow Great game to be part of yesterday and fun to coach. Congratulations to the Cru for getting the 1 seed. Really proud of our kids for their effort and energy again yesterday. We need to keep competing with these teams but learn to find ways to win instead of ways to lose.
  10. Good luck to Clay Kramer who is signing with Cincinnati Christian University this week. Great kid, great family. Hopefully a couple of our Panther players will be heading there also. As usual Mustang, nice talking to you tonight. I wish we would have been more competitive though.
  11. Thanks for the kind words but this is all about our kids. I am honored to be the head baseball coach at Ludlow High School and privileged to coach an awesome group of hard working kids. I love the fact that our kids are receiving a little recognition for their hard work both on and off the field. Sometimes small school kids get lost in the shuffle. Thanks to Rick Broering for writing a fantastic article. PANTHER PRIDE!!
  12. Congratulations Joe, his family and the HHS coaching staff. Good Luck!
  13. Congratulations to Coach Donnie Scheid on his first varsity win on Tuesday. Calvary Christian is very lucky to have him. No one will be more dedicated or work harder. Congrats again Coach!
  14. We did make some mistakes late in the game but you really have to give Beechwood credit. We opened the door and they kicked it in. Their 8 and 9 batters came up with big hits in the top of the 7th to get the rally going. Then the top of their lineup came through and found a way to win. TC Eads is small in stature but he battles and gives you everything he has. He did a great job mixing up pitches and trying to keep Beechwood off balance. We gave it all we had and came up a little short. I am proud of our kids effort and attitudes. They really work hard to get improve each day. It was definitely a tough loss and something they will remember the rest of their lives. Beechwood players and coaches couldnt have been more gracious after the game. Very classy! The Panther baseball team will be rooting hard for them to bring the hardware back to NKY.
  15. Wow!! What a high school baseball game. Very proud of our kids for battling the way they did. Tomorrow we get Beechwood in the championship. Monumental task for us but I know our kids will fight hard and give it all they got. PANTHER PRIDE
  16. Great high school baseball game today. Tyler Lyons and Jared Seibert were sensational. Both teams bunted, gambled and had a couple scoring options. Great effort from both teams. You know if you beat a Pat Ryan coached team you had to have played well.
  17. Absolutely masterful pitching job by Max Schwalbach from Holy Cross. Had command of all his pitches and had our guys off balance the entire game. Obviously, HC is coached well by Coach Ryan and his staff, very aggressive at the plate and made some superb plays in the field. Very disappointed in our performance but we will try to learn from it and get better. Lots of work to do in Panther Land.
  18. Tyler Lyons gets the win. Evan Slone with the save. Tyler Durham led the Panthers going 3-3 with a double. Ludlow is now 2-0 on the year.
  19. Heels limited their turnovers against a ton of Arkansas pressure. Paige and Jackson with huge second halves. Survive and advance. On to the SWEET 16.
  20. There are alot of really good players not on the list but are key players for their teams success in 2015. Ludlow- Evan Slone, Tyler Lyons, Tyler Durham Bellevue- Briley Seiter, Nate Arnzen Brossart- Clay Kramer NewCath- Zack Pangallo, Grant Moeves, Brandon Gray, Clint Bartels, Nate Enslen Just a few names to watch out for!
  21. Semifinals are set: St. Henry vs. Highlands 2/14 6pm NCC vs. CovCath 2/14 7:30pm Good luck to all four teams and staffs. Four very good teams and 1st class coaches.
  22. Great game to be a part of. NCH wins on a last second shot. Panthers played well, just can't find ways to win these types of games. Had the game won in regulation then came from 6 down with a minute to play in the first overtime to tie it up and send the game to a second overtime. Great effort!
  23. They play with so much energy, effort and enthusiasm. Just watch their bench when they release a 3. Very impressive! So unselfish!
