  1. NCC 57 Ludlow 33. Great game to play for my team but we got taken behind the wood shed. Too talented and too physical. We learned a lot from this game. Good luck to Coach Meyer and the Breds the rest of the year. Breds were a class act both on and off the court.
  2. Congratulations to Hayden and the Molitor family. Great people.
  3. Ludlow freshman finished 2nd in the Grant Co Christmas Tournament. Beat the host team Grant Co 48-32 in round 1 and then beat Nicholas Co in the semifinals by 10. The Panthers fell to Boone Co in the Championship game. Tonight they travel to NCC for a tough encounter with the Breds.
  4. There were 8 teams in this tournament. 2 from Ky, 3 from Tn, 2 from Orlando, Fl and 1 from South Carolina. Great showing by Ludlow. They beat Freedom High School from Orlando and Farragut HS from Knoxville Tn. Two very good wins, boys played super defense. Championship against Wayne Co they were outmanned. Tired legs didn't help either as we missed shots that had been falling. More importantly the boys were complimented numerous times for the way they acted both on and off the court by tournament people, referees and hotel workers. Great experience by all and great showing.
  5. Ludlow wins the Beechwood Tiger Classic by defeating Somerset 66-58. Huge win for the program against a very big and physical Somerset team. Panthers were led in scoring by Marcus Roark with 19, Michael Camarena with 14 and 8, Kalib Mitchell with 13 and 7. Matthew "Gibby" Gibson and Cameron Hart each contributed 9. Mitchell was named MVP, Gibby all tournament and Roark was player of the game. Very proud of these guys and their efforts!!
  6. Big win for the Panthers tonight. Great team win and defensive effort. Boys will play Somerset on Monday in the Championship game. Game time is 5pm at Beechwood.
  7. Special thanks to Lawnboy13 for the updates this year. I am also very proud of this group of seniors. I have known most of these guys and coached alot of them since they were little. Great group of kids who accomplished a ton. The tradition continued this season and will continue in the future. Special thank you to Coach Wagner and his staff. Fantastic job once again! It's a pretty special feeling knowing your son is being coached and mentored by a special group of coaches. As my son Brandon told me, "I would run through a burning building for my football coaches and I feel they would do the same for me". That's pretty awesome!!!
  8. Very impressed with the Shelby Valley facilities. Fans were classy in defeat. At the end of the game both teams and parents went to mid field to pray. You honestly could have heard a pin drop. Very impressive! Proud of the Thoroughbreds football team, alot of people wrote this team off and complained about one thing or another the whole year. WELL HERE THEY ARE AGAIN!! Congratulations to Coach Wagner, his staff and the whole "team" on accomplishing part of their goal in getting to Bowling Green. This team has really come together. It has been fun to watch them develop through the year. Next Friday will be a great but sad day for alot of us. I hate that it is my sons last high school football game but like I told him "no better place to play your final high school game than at WKU" GO BREDS!!!
  9. I don't think it's garbage from boss hog, just his opinion. East side of the bracket is definitely weaker than the west. I know as a parent on this team I am really proud of all these kids and coaches. Big kudos to the o line and QB Friday night. Huge game from both. Friday was a great team effort from everyone. All I know about this Friday night at Shelby Valley is the Breds football team will play their butts off and the Breds will be well represented some 3.5 hours away.
  10. NCC needed a big game from their o line and their QB. THEY GOT BOTH. The o line gave Pat time to throw, opened up big holes for the RB's. Overall, a great TEAM effort. This young team has grown right in front of our eyes. Newport was a very good and dangerous team. The Breds beat a solid well coached team. Congrats to the Wildcats on a great year and the fans for supporting that team Friday night. Those boys deserved that. Breds nation was solid as usual. Breds will be well represented in Shelby Valley on Friday. The NCC motto is: TOO SUCCEED YOU MUST BELIEVE....AND WE BELIEVE!!! Well the Breds Nation believes in this team and are damn proud of all of them.
  11. Very impressed with the mutual respect both Beechwood and NCC showed. I saw a lot of helmet patting and helping opponents up. #55 for the Tigers showed a lot of sportsmanship the whole game. Good Luck to both teams, they both have the talent to make deep runs in the playoffs!
  12. Running clock in the first half. NCC knows the deal. Everyone is 0-0 right now. Take them a week at a time. 4 game winning streak to get to BG
  13. I don't think anyone needs to worry about them protecting Henschen or not showing their cards to anyone in 2A. This is Beechwood week and they will do whatever they have to do to win this rivalry game. They won't run the ball all over Beechwood like they have some recent opponents. Patrick will have to play well this week and I'm sure Beechwoods plan is to make NCC throw the ball some. This will be a great preparation game for both teams and especially both young quarterbacks. This is always a classic game! Just hope both teams stay healthy and do great in the playoffs! Good luck to both!
  14. Three things I got from this game. 1. NCC coaching staff was very classy with the handling of this game. 2. NCC players were focused and did what was expected of them. 3. Brossart kids played hard to the zero's.
  15. Give new AD Adam Franzen and the Brossart administration credit for sticking to their guns and playing their 2A schedule. I'm sure the KHSAA wouldnt have been very happy with an independent schedule but they still could have really screwed their 2A district foes with another off week. The last 3 scores were lopsided but NCC has been more than classy and it wont change this year. Their goal will be to get to a 36pt lead as soon as possible and play the younger guys. Brossart will compete in their 1A district next year as well they should. Hope everyone stays healthy for the both teams.
  16. This will be for the #2 seed in the district and a home playoff game. Thoughts?
  17. Great effort by both teams. Tough playing conditions for both. Amazing listening to NCC players after the game talk about some of the shenanigans that went on during the game. Completely uncalled for and I'm sure the referees will be watching for it the rest of the year. All i heard walking out of the stadium was the referees this and the referrees that-SERIOUSLY!!!!! Proud of the Breds for keeping their composure and getting the job done. They are getting some great play from their underclassmen and its fun to see.
  18. Great game to watch. Can't fault the effort from either team both of them played with a ton of effort and enthusiam. Congratulations to the Panthers who now own a record of 5-2 and 1-0 in district play. Huge game next week at Bellevue.
  19. Congratulations to Mitchell and the Jones family. Great kid and family! Good Luck, we all know Kentucky Wesleyan is getting a good one.
