Being able to see FS play Friday night, their D looked like it was improving. That's why I think they will win Friday night at home. Their offense is lacking to say the least, but will be able to run against WC... IMO.

I'm thinking SW vs. FS coming out of the west. FS played the banged up boys from SW a great game.The game was never in doubt. SW had the game in hand with the best DEFENSE in the STATE, but give FS credit, they played very well. IMO... FS will only improve from this point on with their young team growing up.

SW numbers are at the 5A level now and both teams could be forced to play each other sooner than later. I would welcome that game, as it would be great for the community.

You can't base much on scrimmages. The coaches are experimenting with different combinations in those games. I think FS has more speed and the game will be won in the O and D line. I think FS will wake up this week. FS by 10. FS better get it together this week, because the freight train is coming on the 25th.

I knew GW would get good dose of reality this week. Sw is the best team in District 2 4A and I would go as far as saying in 4A. I'm not ready to say they are best in BG. On any given night anything can happen.

FS is playing very young on both sides of the ball right now. At one time last night they had 4 sophomores and a freshman in on defense. The lost of Uhls will sting for a while and they should have Doss back next week. Brady continues to impress and run very well for FS as he had two long runs called back and one of the was a 75 yard TD. He also is just a sophomore with a lot of ceiling. Hall is a great back with a lot of speed and determination. This team will continue to grow up and when they do it could mean trouble for the rest of us. Let's give credit where credit is due, Caldwell Co. is excellent coached and plays very well as a team. They were the better team in every area last night. South Warren is the perfect example of what happens when a team grows up and together.

Rankings are someone elses opinion. Threy really don't mean much. They are just boasting material for the parents. I look at the top 5 from last week and FS won last week and dropped a spot and a team that got demorlized fell, but stayed in the top 10. JH isn't top ten material. SW should be #1 based on games played and not just speculation. They are the best team that has played. There is my opinions. EVERYBODY has one!!!

SW is a great team, and I love their offensive scheme. Their passing game was suspect Saturday, but their running is on point. They have a atheletic QB and a Mr. do it all in Mcelwain. I love the wildcat they run him out of. I think they are by far the #1 team in 4A at this point based on talent and returnees only. We need to be careful relating their #1 status to the JH game. JH was horrible without a lot of help from SW. I witnessed a very undisplined team, and for the most part a very uncoachable team. The players were coming off the field throwing their helmets and acting very immature and the coaches weren't trying to correct it. It was almost like they expected it. If JH is to do anything, they will need to get their attitudes in check. That being said SW is the real deal. If they get their passing game going they will be almost impossible to beat.

South Warren will win big over Hardin, because Hardin won't score on SW defense. JC will do good until playoffs. FS will give oppenents fits all year with their atheletes. Ashland will be good with Baker and Warren Central will shock some people this year. 4A will be fun this year!!! Champion will come from District 2! IMHO!!!

Didn't Franklin lose quite a bit to graduation last year. I know they lost one of their best lineman and running back. What do they have to replace those guys? South Warren will be the team from all indications.

Who besides Carothers will they have in the back field? Who are some of their younger backs to look out for?

I thought that was who you were talking about. I watched them play a few times last year and he was a big time player on both sides of the ball. I watched him play a JV game against SW and I think he had 5 TD's in that game.

Someone give us a run down on Warren East. I know they have a great young back. What do they have to go with him? Will ACS have anything? We've heard from SW, FS, and WC, but what about the others. I believe this district could be the best in 4A. Thoughts?

How many seniors wil SW/Franklin graduate this year? Tell me more about this FS running back. I knew Warren East had a good back as a sophomore. [/font]

With their record last year and sounds like very young players this year, it doesn't much sound like a powerhouse.

I would like to know who has transferred as well. What I like about the schedule this year is that they will play each other. Should make for a good night of football Sep. 25th.

I'm not sold on the South Warren title just yet. The games I watched last year their competition in 3a was nowhere near the competition they will see in 4a. I think they will be good, but I see really young team in Franklin that will give them a run for their money based on speed and athletisim alone. That being said I think John Hardin, Johnson Central will be good and Madisonville lost to much to make a run this year.

John Hardin, Franklin Simpson, North Oldham, South Warren and maybe Warren Central. That district 2 is loaded.

The games I have seen SW play were against subpar talent. I think they will very good, but are in for a wake up call coming to 4A. They will meet up with much more talented teams. Don't give the trophy just yet.
