If I remember right South Warrens 8th grade team gave BG a scare last year during the regular season, that BG ended up winning in the last minute or so. Good to see multiple teams in the area having success.

Warren Central has been reborn at South Warren. It's good to see South Warren sowing the seeds of success. I do hate it has come at Warren Central's expense. That's life though I guess.

Tonight Bowling Green High took on South Warrens JV team and lost 18-9. Earlier this season Souths Freshman team also beat Bowling Green in a hard fought game. I will be the first to say that I am surprised that this happened at both the Freshman and JV levels! IMO SW is looking like they could be prepared to be a dominant force for years to come in the State. Congrats to those young men, and keep up the good work!

Your correct freshman did play earlier and this was JV. Got confused may daughter who is a freshman originally told me it was a freshman game sorry.

I have to say, the freshman result I kinda shrugged at, but this is pretty impressive. Perhaps we could see them play at the varsity level in 2017 after all?

One can only hope. The inaugural meeting should have been this year.

They don't want none for real. If they did they'd schedule a varsity game regardless of the terms. They have something to prove by playing and beating BG. BG doesn't gain anything by playing and beating South Warren. The burden of proof is on South Warren. You want to be seen as better than BG? Call BG, agree to their terms and go to 1801 Rockingham Lane and prove it.

I'd like to see BG and SW start a series. IMO it would turn out to be one of the states top rivalries. BG has proven what they are capable of. SW is unproven, but looks to be on the upside and their fans love to talk them up. Rivalry in the making.
