Which one? There have been three, and one is tonight.

 

I attended the one at Warren Central. It is just a public comment right now, though at the one I attended the superintendent also spoke briefly about the process, and the constant message was nothing at all has been decided. The only thing the committee has professed to be in agreement on is that they should not split elementary schools up anymore when moving on to middle school (i.e. everyone at an elementary goes to same middle & high school).

 

Of course, that's the committee. The ultimate decision lies with the board. Mr. Clayton was very clear that they could listen to the recommendation, send it back to request another recommendation, or simply draw up their own solution.

In my humble, yet accurate opinion this is what needs to happen. The Purples need to pay off Monroe County and John Hardin, telling them they have a change of plans for the Rafferty's Bowl. This would allow BG to play South Warren in the late game (they would make up the money at the gate!) and they could then invite Warren Central to play Greenwood in the earlier game, ensuring another good crowd.

 

I know it wont happen, but that would be the way I would do it.

 

This would allow the inaugural game between the Spartans and Purples to be on mutual field. The wInner of that game gets home field the following year to continue the matchup.

I think that's true Spin. Coach Wallace (after having a signed Monroe Co contract) I'm told countered with playing the Spartans in game 10 this season and but Coach Smith didn't want it there. Ultimately, none of us really care about all that. I too love PurpleNations idea. Like just about everybody on this board, they just need to make it happen! If they can play Freshman, JV and I'd bet 7th and 8th grade too! Why not varsity!

I would also add to be fair to Coach Smith, it is very likely he also had a contract with Pope John Paul II, TN (South's 2015 Weel 10 opponent) when discussions were made.

I'm NOT a big fan of TN schools and hope South puts a running clock on those guys!
