Again, the argument continues: Johnson Central or South Warren, who is the real number one? Why? Can you prove your side of the argument? Ashland is right there looming in the background waiting for their shot at the Golden Eagles, who wins that future matchup? Spencer County is surprising people, how far can they go in the playoffs this year? Who is ranked too high? Who is ranked too low? Who should be moving up soon?

Don't rule out Scott Eagles from Taylormill sitting quietly in the 5 spot. They were hit with some injuries the past couple of weeks , but most are healthy and Junior Gage Tucker will be returning in couple weeks. Noise in Taylormill this week ..it is homecoming !!!

That's a great question. Spencer has been having more and more success during the regular season but have never been able to do anything in the playoffs, often losing (badly) to lesser teams. I think they have one playoff win in school history. Unless they get the #1 seed and avoid John Hardin the first two weeks, the answer is most likely not far.

I'm thinking SW vs. FS coming out of the west. FS played the banged up boys from SW a great game.The game was never in doubt. SW had the game in hand with the best DEFENSE in the STATE, but give FS credit, they played very well. IMO... FS will only improve from this point on with their young team growing up.

South Warren should be number one. They have played a tougher schedule with a similar margin of victory than Johnson Central.

They face a must win this week to make that happen. Whoever loses this game will find themselves trapped on the side with South.

Being able to see FS play Friday night, their D looked like it was improving. That's why I think they will win Friday night at home. Their offense is lacking to say the least, but will be able to run against WC... IMO.

I would disagree with the comment that they lost badly to lesser teams. The only really bad playoff loss they had was to Nelson County in 2012. That game they turned it over 6 times. The following year they lost to a Nelson County team on the road that wasn't a blowout, then last year lost in the first round to a talented Doss team by 5. I don't think anyone knows how good they are but their program has steadily improved, I know that district will be a tough match up for the opposite district. John Hardin will win their district and they will be challenged in the opening round of the playoffs by this districts 4 seed whoever that may be!
