Why should the game have been finished? You had a group of Twenhofel parents and coaches watching this kid throw up numerous times on the field. That would be disturbing for anyone to watch. I know when I watch someone puke there is a 60% chance I may yak. They had zero knowledge of this kids prior condition. According to the previous posts he came out with the same jersey on but had changed pants. Why wouldn't the jersey have been changed along with the pants. You just put a soiled jersey on with clean pants? How did they know for sure and I mean 100% for sure that this time it wasn't a stomach virus? Did the trainer run lab work? Assuming anything when it comes to player safety is simply not smart. Now throw in the fact Ludlow was winning 34-6! Really?? Was it about winning 54-6? If that's the case I had no idea Steve Spurrier was moonlighting as a middle school coach.

So is SK and Highlands playing next year? I for one hope that they are and can't wait to see this game. IMO it will put a lot of this chatter on BGP's to rest. You can compare playing this school and that school and we beat that school so that means we beat you. That's all just a load of .....well you know. I do like SK and have enjoyed watching them the last couple of years. However you are talking Highlands football and you must give credit where it is due. I love Northern Ky football and always pull for those teams in the state playoffs. Highlands has done that better than anyone else in this area. That is a fact! SK' s program has came along way over the years. Time to test the waters and see just how far they have come.

After hearing so much about the huge D1 O line of SK. It seemed to me the speed of Ryle D Line was simply better. Right side of the SK line seemed to have problems. Chalk it up to a off night or Ryle was onto something there. I haven't seen Campbell play but Ryle may have found a chink in the armor. This should be a great game. SK 30 CC 21. Good to see SK pressed and finding ways to win. Should help come playoffs.

Hope Powell is Ok. They used several RB's that played very well. Secondary played well. Some sophomores really stepped up. Brian Carter and Kincaid both played a heck of a game.

Folks welcome to the new way of life. All threats now have to be taken serious. Yes we all see it as completely stupid but with all the school violence, work place violence times have now changed. No way either team wanted to reschedule this because we all know that is a major PITA. This decision came from the top and for the record that's not the head coach or the AD.

I'm sure background (criminal) are done especially in this day and time. I really don't think playing the game always translates into being a good coach and I'm sure there are plenty of good coaches at higher levels that may have had little football experience. Good coaches are out there for the right reasons. To teach the game and try to instill a love for that game. The coaches who are out there just to make sure JR is getting to play the spots he wants him to and the win at all costs guys are just as bad. My hats off to the guys that donate their time. Coaching in this day and time must be hard. Way too many distractions for the youth of today. Social media, video games etc etc I could go on. A good coach to me is one who can get your child to improve at something and make you want to come back and play again next year.

I agree. Pop Warner implemented new rules in 2012 about contact during practice. Also limited the head on blocking and tackling drills to 3 yards. Which keeps kids from just smashing each other like Big Horn Sheep. I was wondering if any of the youth football organizations in this area have followed suit?

Great point. It most certainly gives pass heavy teams more time to perfect routes, timing, reads etc. Run heavy teams could use that time to perfect O line footwork on all blocks, QB's and RB's footwork, timing, fakes etc. That's just a few of the things but you get my point.

I guess I will answer the above question because it seems to have been skipped over. It's 0. If one would have to eat crow for misjudging talent he would never get the black feathers picked from his teeth. Now, that being said, in Independence the term DI is thrown around more than a 85 Ford Escort in the demolition derby at the Kenton County Fair. One should really use more restraint when it comes to using the term DI.

That's the right spot for Simon Kenton. Simply too many question marks for this team. Defense and QB being the main ones. Only 4 returning starters on defense with zero returning starters in the secondary. Secondary is the big question mark on D. Looks like a couple of sophomores Kincaid and Book will see plenty of playing time both are very talented but still young. I do remember Winkler coming in last year during injuries to play corner and I think safety. Will we see Marksberry use him both ways this year? QB play will be big for this team. Racke is going to have to pass the ball to stop teams from stacking 8-9 in the box. Everyone knows Simon will be run heavy this year. They have the talent but being young in key spots.......only time will tell.
