  1. 1. Campbell County - This club will be a match up problem for a lot of teams, there is talk on getting some other athletes out which will help the depth. This is the year for Campbell as their seniors and sophomores compliment each other. 2. Scott - They have some solid players but lost some valuable seniors last year. IMO they are the second seed in the district just more skilled than the Mustangs. 3. Brossart - Question mark will be their guards but everybody in the region knows that. They have athletic girls filling out those guard positions who should play with a chip on their shoulders for the Mustangs. IMO sleeper in this district. 4. Field - the other teams in the district are just over matched by the big 3.
  2. Boone hired a solid coach who I'm sure will be up to the challenge of following a NKY legend.
  3. Remember last year when people thought she wouldn't be able to fill the shoes of a very good point guard who graduate?? I think getting a D1 offer as a sophomore closes that conversation. Congrats Ally I'm sure there will be more to follow.
  4. No at that age focus on being well rounded. But all kids need to play some sort of team sport which teach great life lesson in winning and losing. Maybe around 12/13 start focusing on one sport if the kid is passionate about that sport. It's a shame more kids don't play pick up it seems the only way they play is organized and then the parents get competitive.
  5. It came out wrong. 1)Beechwood 2)Bracken County
  6. Thank you to sara & tedric and all the coaches at legacy for your time preparation and kind hearts to work with my daughter Maddie. I have seen a transformation that no program can compare. The proof on and off the court confidence. Thank you so much. She has a desires and dreams and understands its not given its earned. Thanks again. — with Maddie Drummonds. This was posted on Legacy's face book page....
  7. LEGACY ELITE AAU BASKETBALL TRYOUTS Friday, January 23 - February 1 Legacy Sports Elementary School Girls Saturday, January 24th & Sunday, January 25th 6th Grade Girls Friday, January 30th & Saturday, January 31 7th & 8th Grade Girls Saturday, February 7 & Saturday, February 14
  8. Maddie Drummonds, product of a lot of hard work when no one was watching. She currently trains with Legacy..
  9. The sacred heart girls played with FOCUS out of Louisville the last 2 year. Berger, was with FOCUS during the State AAU Tournaments, I hear that she is now playing with Premiere.
  10. I'm sure that both girls made the best decision for them. I guess we will have to wait and see if it does hurt the team. Let's revisit in July and see who's post is more accurate. YES, Bball Legacy 7th will continue to play at the highest level and will be a better team even with losing Stampers and Vickers. Those 2 didn't become great players overnight, Legacy developed and trained them which made them a nice pick up for another organization. Maybe the problem is you have always been the 1.2.3 option and now in practice other players are working harder and taking your reps and you don't like the new direction, so you move to an organization where you can just play and you don't have to compete.
  11. I have a close relationship with the Legacy organization, Morgan Stamper's is a nice player but her loss will not have a huge impact on the team overall. Legacy has in the past had other players leave only to return once they get the full experience and not just the promises. With Legacy it's about what you earn, some players like that some don't.
  12. This is not a hit to Legacy and could be why the players decided to leave.
  13. I don't think that any one from Legacy was shocked when they left or made any attempt to keep them from leaving. The direction of the team and the direction of the players sometimes do not align over time. I'm sure both would agree that they are better players because of the time and training that they got with Legacy. Wishing them continued success.
  14. Conner's 7th grade team is very deep and talented, 8 players on that team play in the Legacy organization.
  15. That's right the common theme is that these girls all play outside of school ball with some AAU organization and this is great for the girl basketball!!! Legacy is a 3 year old organization so with the Freshman class and younger players you will see a higher % of the best players either playing with Legacy or Training with Legacy. (even if they play on a team in another organization)
  16. There's a trend in NKY that the top girls coming out or in Middle School have things in common. That they play outside of school ball with an AAU organization and that a high percentage of the best AAU players will have either played or trained with Legacy.
  17. There roster last year didn't have a player on varsity over 5'2". That is so hard to compete when you have such small numbers to choose from.
  18. That's awesome more exposure for the girls of NKY. Can you share the coaches or schools that are interested? What events or showcases?
  19. Legacy will have High School, Middle, Elementary school level teams in the spring after their tryouts. Legacy does not have any current rosters as their teams are not in season. Legacy resets all of their teams year to year and it's up to the girls to earn a spot on a team. With success Legacy is seeing more players wanting to join the program and this means existing players have to work everyday to improve their game on all levels. Are you interested in your daughter playing for Legacy? Email legacyeliteaau@gmail.com if you have further questions hope this answered your questions.
  20. Thank you - agreed and long term I do believe my original statement will be confirmed. That is no disrespect to Abby she was a great player and did some great things and I wish her all the best as she continues her career in College. They are different players and I'm comparing an incoming freshman to a proven graduate so it maybe a reach but it's also my opinion as Niece can do all the things and more offensively that Abby could do in a bigger package and she is a freshman (upside). I also believe that the SK coaching staff will be able to scheme defensively with Niece to offset her weakness on that end where Abby was superior. This is why I believe it's an upgrade for SK no emotion or over reaction. I will be happy to adjust my comments at the end of the season and re examine them again after the 2018 season.
  21. LEGACY GIRLS don't need a scouting service...They handle it on the court. Thanks for jumping the thread for your benefit.
  22. Abby Owings was a nice player but the Pioneers upgraded with freshman Ally Niece.
