Boone County 2015-16

Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Boone County? Remember, please be constructive.

Did the Sainer girl from Robertson County transfer to Boone Co to play her senior season? I dont know why but I thought I had heard that somewhere.

She scrimmaged with Boone in June, so I assume she will be wearing Rebel blue this season. Should be a welcome addition for the new coach there. Interesting long shot, often deadly.

Change of address? Or just a basketball transfer?

I strongly suspect change of address. I don't believe Boone County is commutable from Robertson County.

Just go through Hittville, Powersville, Willow, Berlin and Lenoxburg. then hit the AA a couple miles before the Pendleton County line. An hour and 10 minutes, tops.

 

I'd be seasick, though.

With the loss of five seniors (four starters) and a Legendary Head Coach, obviously it's going to be a year of transition. The pipeline wasn't left empty though and the Lady Rebels will compete and surprise some teams. The Robertson County girl is a nice addition and Sydney Foster (the returning starter) proved last year that she can play with anyone. The Anderson girl plays as hard as any girl in the region. Hensley and Travis are the other two seniors and they bring great effort to the team. The girls seem to really like the new coach and will play hard for her. The Lady Rebels play in a very tough District and will have to bring great effort in every game but don't be shocked to see them cutting down the nets come tournament time.

Boone hired a solid coach who I'm sure will be up to the challenge of following a NKY legend.
