Cooper beat NCC pretty easily if I remember right. I would say it's between CCH and Cooper...same as last year.

No dog in the fight. Still think it was a goaltending. Very close! Either way it was a great hustle play.

From my angle it appeared he hit it off the backboard after it hit the backboard and was going down. Was bang bang.

This was a very good game. Game of runs. Holmes jumped out front early. Cooper came back and took the lead. Holmes battled back and held off Cooper at the end. Very fun game to watch. Holmes had some really nice dunks in the game. I thought it was a very entertaining game to watch!

Should have been goal tending. I was sitting right there...either way it was a great game except the last 2 minutes when Cooper seamed to run out of gas. Don't know why Cooper went away from getting the ball to Hathorn and Dickerson in the second half. Seamed like they were forcing shots instead of using the inside out game they had success with in the second quarter. Thought Dickerson had a nice game 11 points had some nice assists and rebounds. Boy has a nice stroke from the 3 point line. Also used nice ball fakes to draw some fouls underneath. Holmes has a very nice team. This was my first chance to see them.

The point guard for CCH and # 15 talked trash all night. I had seats on the floor and saw it first hand. When Pangallo started cramping up #15 was in his face talking smack. I saw the refs warn each of them but continued to let them do it all game before the T at the end. No place in the game for this. Playing with emotion is one thing let your game talk for you. Just my opinion not a dog in the fight just a fan.

I say if the hard nosed defensive minded Cooper team shows up they win in a close 3 point game.

When the Cooper team that showed up last night plays they are very dangerous. To hold a team that averages 70 pts a game to 31. All I can say is wow. But they have to bring that intensity every night. It seams to me in the few games I have seen they rise to a different level one night and the next just sleepwalk through it. Like Walter said in his 9th region review. Cooper can be very dangerous come tournament time.

In years past NKY teams played Ohio schools at respective schools. This year it change. Bigger venue to benefit local charities.

I was there Elder hit a ton of 3's. I would say somewhere between 10-15 for the game. Hard to beat a team that hits that many outside shots. The Elder boys are very strong and physical. Cooper fought but the 3 point shooting for Elder was the difference in my opinion. Very good team!

Dixie's size will be to much for Ryle. Dixie by 20-30 points.

Like I said in my earlier post Coopers length bothered Conner. They started with Dickerson on the Scott kid then switched to Hendricks then to Leicty. I think he finished with just 6 points. Cooper was very balanced scoring wise. McNeil was a monster again and led the way with 20. Hathorn was in double figures then it was Dickerson with 8 and Leicty with 7. This was my 3rd time watching this group and I like what I've seen so far this year. Seem like a very close bunch. They are long and defend well. They are a tough group.

Sorry Walter but it's Hathorn/Dickerson. Hawkins comes off the bench. I think Coopers length will bother Conner. I say Cooper 58-48.

I agree. Hated to see the bigs for Cooper get in foul trouble thought they did a good job with the bigs for NCC. I would say that the Weyer kid was the better of the 2 that night. The young man plays extremely hard. I don't remember him coming out of the game at all until each team cleared the benches. I am not saying McDonald is not skilled just IMO Weyer looked the best..splitting hairs. Either way NCC is very good. Cooper came to play and gave NCC all they wanted for 3+ quarters. Both these teams will be hard to beat as the season goes on. This was a great early season game. Cooper atmosphere is always great. Their fans really come out and support their team as does CCH and NCC.

Hathorn and Dickerson were monsters on the glass. Was told Dickerson finished with 11 boards. Second half defense from Cooper was the difference. WV had no answer for Hathorn in the paint either. McNeil was solid. Kid can score from anywhere on the floor. It's early and both teams will get better. Strong start for the Cooper kids who were without their starting point guard just coming back from football. This group has the potential to play with anyone in the 9th. Big test coming Saturday vs NCC. Can't wait to see these teams play....Hope it's not like what NCC did to Dixie though!
