Cooper 54 Conner 45

Really good game. McNeil had 20. Hemnerich had 17.

WOW! Very good game. Love watching McNeil play. Seems to play effortlessly. If Conner had an answer for him it could have been a different game!

Question- what was for the reason of the "T" against McNeil? I totally missed it!

I hope someone has a clip of the shot McNeil made tonight.

Really good 33rd district battle. Conner led by 1 at half. By 2 after 3. Cooper went up in the 4th and it stayed around 4 points. Hemmerich had a 3 that did everything but hit the floor before it bounded out that would have cut it to about 2 with under 2 minutes left. From there it was a free throw battle.

Great environment. Kudos to the Cooper folks including the PA announcer. Really fun night of ball.

Thanks. I missed that as well

I know Cooper records games but not sure if they'll post that shot, but it was amazing

Excellent defense by Cooper on Conner's PG Scott. Heard he was avg 27pts/game and ended the game with 6. You will play defense for Coach Sully or you don't play.

Game went as expected with these two rivals, down to the wire.

That was SICK! OMG lol. I swear as he spun I don't think he realized he was still 5feet from the basket yet still out it in over the defense, was unreal. Still shaking my head.

For or anyone who wasn't there, the best I can explain the shot was like a spinning underhand layup except when he went underhand he was still 5 feet from the basket and still made the shot lol.

Cooper did a great job individually and collectively on defense. I think one aspect Jim Hicks will point out to the boys is they lost a lot of 50/50 balls to Cooper.

Hendrix did a nice job tonight running the team. Handles it well. Passes well. Penetrates well. All he is missing is a consistent jumper and he'll be a bear to deal with.

Like I said in my earlier post Coopers length bothered Conner. They started with Dickerson on the Scott kid then switched to Hendricks then to Leicty. I think he finished with just 6 points.

Cooper was very balanced scoring wise. McNeil was a monster again and led the way with 20. Hathorn was in double figures then it was Dickerson with 8 and Leicty with 7. This was my 3rd time watching this group and I like what I've seen so far this year. Seem like a very close bunch. They are long and defend well. They are a tough group.

Dickerson didn't start out on Scott, Hendrix guarded Scott the entire game except when he was our but you are correct this is the longest team Cooper has ever had in their starting 5.

Conner did a good job not letting Cooper get the ball inside and making it a perimeter type game. For not having great size Conner is an effective team and will cause problems for a lot of teams.

Their best post scorer is Garnett. He's really good around the rim.

Sidenote: Apparently every girl at Cooper is a cheerleader. I think they had to cheer in shifts tonight. Good golly!

Agree on all accounts. Sully preaches how important it is to get those 50/50 balls. Cooper is balanced and that is a huge advantage and will be huge help as the season goes along. Hendrix will get his jumper back, don't forget he just stepped off the football field a little over a week ago LOL.
