Final per the update thread. Bulldogs seem to have a habit of letting teams hang around, then putting them away late.

Good win for the Bulldogs. They are getting ready to be tested big time. @ Mason Co. on Tuesday, @CCh on Friday, and Trinity on Saturday at MoCo. Winning one of those will be a challenge.

That does seem to be their pattern.

Birthday shout out to James Bolden!

Congratulations to my Bulldogs with a hard fought victory. Hats off to Cooper as they have a solid team.

Walter, do you have video of James' block above? Love to see it.

A real game of runs.

Holmes goes up 16-1 in the first only to trail by about 4 or 5 at half.

Holmes goes on a big run in the 2nd to seal it.

Anyone know why McClendon didn't start?? He sat the entire 1st quarter.

I do...I'll have highlights up tomorrow.

Ennam kept me out late tonight getting wings and adult beverages along with the fellas who called this game.

Weird game with the two big runs each team had, until midpoint third quarter. I thought Coach Listerman and staff's decision to go to a 1-2-2 three quarter court trap bothered Cooper and took them out of what they had success with in the second quarter. That defense effectively changed the course of the game.

Holmes was able to get some turnovers and and converted them into points.

James Bolden is so much fun to watch and he had a really solid game. He had some really nifty passes including a handful or very nice passes in tight quarters in transition.

Rod Avery played well as well. He's a spindly kid but has good hands and was to handle some tough passes in transition to convert.

Andrew Arnold does the dirty work and played really solid all night long.

Holmes's offense has been starting to come together over the last few weeks and they will need their defense to progress if they want to challenge for the region.

Same also happened vs. Madison Central a week ago.

Should have been goal tending. I was sitting right there...either way it was a great game except the last 2 minutes when Cooper seamed to run out of gas.

Don't know why Cooper went away from getting the ball to Hathorn and Dickerson in the second half. Seamed like they were forcing shots instead of using the inside out game they had success with in the second quarter. Thought Dickerson had a nice game 11 points had some nice assists and rebounds. Boy has a nice stroke from the 3 point line. Also used nice ball fakes to draw some fouls underneath.

Holmes has a very nice team. This was my first chance to see them.
