I was talking to someone and missed this play. Tell me why it was a goaltend.

From my angle it appeared he hit it off the backboard after it hit the backboard and was going down. Was bang bang.

Cooper fans on twitter are telling me it was a goaltend, but I agree it was a nice block. Times it perfect. Very close, but refs made the right (no) call.

No dog in the fight. Still think it was a goaltending. Very close! Either way it was a great hustle play.

Anyone know why McClendon didn't start?? He sat the entire 1st quarter.

Pretty sure he just told the coach to let someone start...LOL

In high school the "hit the backboard" debate is irrelevant. That's only in college and pro ball. The only question is in regards to the ball being hit AFTER it is on its downward flight. No way you can it was on this one

Wonder if Clyde still think Avery isn't a top 10 talent after seeing him again last night....one could argue he was the best "big man" on the court in all 3 games last night.

(Not saying he is better than McDonald or Weyer...simply saying he looked the best out of all the "bigs" who played last night)

Again let me preface the following with the fact a)I'd take Avery on my team every day and b)if he's not top 10 he's 11 or 12. I like him.

Nothing in this game changed what I've said previously. He is REALLY good at finishing and running the floor. Changes/blocks shots.

What I've never seen in your videos or the games I've seen is the Dogs running offense through him. He does what you showed in your video. He gets great position and gets the ball in the bucket after getting a lob or a dump off pass.

AGAIN, I take him on my team.

I think he did hit one shot from about 5-7 out, in the lane in front of the rim, but yes almost all points come of off plays you described.

He did. I think that was in the first quarter. Nice move.
