I am totally baffled by Boyd and their season. They came to Knott in the preseason and I didn't expect to see them at 13-1. Can someone explain the change in their ball team? Were players missing when they came to the mountains?

Nothing makes me angrier than the referees calling ticky-tack fouls, and taking the game out of the players' control. When I watch good teams play I want to watch the best players play. Watching a ref parade his butt over to the scorer's table and demonstrate a touch foul causes my blood to boil. The ref should not be the center of attention in a great basketball game. I can just see some of these glamour dolls practicing their charging and blocking fouls in front of a mirror. Some will say this doesn't happen but we have refs who are stuck on themselves. I was sitting at a game recently and noticed a good looking woman charting something during a game. I asked if she was judging cheerleaders. To my total amazement she openly acknowledged that her boyfriend was refereeing the game. She was judging his style during the game, so he could improve his appearance. I am telling you, I almost puked. Talk about arrogance! The only thing that exceeded his arrogance was his poor calls.

I want to congratulate my Cuz, Big Evan Hall, on winning the MVP of the WYMT. I think he is finally realizing that he has to be more aggressive on the offensive end. He is beginning to work hard to get his shots. His shooting percentage is down this year but he has shown the ability to use his left hand around the basket, and has also taking the three, when open.

I was very impressed with Clay County. I really liked the effort they put into the game. Clay is to be commended for their hustle and ability to take KCC down to the wire.

I agree Foremanwc. I am sure if I were a Muhlenburg supporter I would like to see some appreciation for their play. I wasn't there, didn't get to see it but I am also sure that Muhlenburg gave them a big-time scare.

If they had been on a charter like many big schools it would have been tough enough. However, they did it on the Big Yellow One that they ride to school on everyday. Correct that, you know they drive to school since they are all seniors, which probably makes it more of an extreme. Here I am going north on Kings Boulevard in Myrtle Beach and they pass me heading to eat supper, and yes on that school bus.

They have also gone 4-1. Tough group of hombres. And let's not forget they traveled the Saturday before to Morehead to play Covington Catholic. And the WYMT starts Tuesday! Enough said. Scheduling this game now is confusing to me.

Knott is making a 14 hour, two day trip. They played four games in five days at Myrtle Beach, did not go home, and have been living on a big yellow school bus. The bus driver only knows one note, a constant blowing of his own horn. Knott is staying in Cookeville tonight and will be without the services of their coach, B. B. King, who is in the hospital with a number 9 broken rib and bruised lung. Who knows what Knott will bring to this game? They shouldn't have anything left but heart, which they have a big yellow bus load of. We will see them in Hazard on Tuesday. Good luck, Patriots! Go Ben!

Tuesday's game was the worst I have seen them play in four years. After B.B.'s accident they seemed totally lost, nervous, and unable to focus. Raymond did a great job but I don't think there was anything anyone could do. After another 24 hours had passed they had time to gather their emotions. Praying for a quick recovery for the coach.

All I can say is, I told you so. So disappointing!

Referees sometimes don't want to let the best players show their stuff. Two ticky tack fouls and the player has to sit. Beach Ball has let them play.

Most shots that were missed fouls were called and the reason for such a high percentage. Cam had 9 TO's and I don't think u will C that to often. Caudill had 12.

The word for this game is misleading. The 31 point victory was a much closer game than the score indicated. The Crusaders played extremely hard. They had a lot of close shots that just wouldn't fall. JUNE Buchanon will have quite a few real good wins this season that will be called upsets, but not by me. Hazard lost a really good player to the Crusaders. I send a special word to the referee that called a technical foul on Coach Justice....DISCRETION! He wasn't complaining, saying anything! He got into the ref's way as the ref ran into. A technical for being on the floor. Elijah had to stay in his seat the rest of the night.
