Better eateries near Highland High School
se7ens replied to thsrocks's topic in KY Football (High School)
We don't go to New Garden anymore after my brother suffered from food poisoning. If you want to park and go eat and then to the game without getting back in car, it is an easy decison for the 915. But if you don't mind multiple stops, treat yourself to the southside and go to Ft. Thomas Pizza. -
Top 5 coaches in 10th Region
se7ens replied to Basketball101's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
1) Chris O'Hearn - The community expects a lot out of this program and O'Hearn has met or surpassed expectations on a consistent basis. High pressure job where he has produced results. 2) Mike Code - Has built and maintained one of the finest small school programs in recent history after taking over for Willie. 3) Scott Humphrey - GRC - IMO the highest pressure job in the state and even though he has sometimes not been able to close the deal in some high talented years, I think you can safely say he has orchestrated one of the best programs in the state year in, year out. 4) Aric Russell - I mean, he got Campbell to Rupp last year. That's incredible. We're not that far removed from when the program was a middling contender that had trouble getting out of the district. 5) Brad Carr - great coach, no regional titles though at a large school or I would put him higher. -
I think Towns makes Marcus Lee much better. Lee has played very well off of Towns and I think that's where that "basketball player" vibe comes from.

They are really pushing to sell these out. Pushing the "tickets as low as $12" marketing line.

We sweep the Bosox. Simple as that. I like the next six games.

Movie Scenes That Brought You To Tears/Choked You Up
se7ens replied to Bluto's topic in Television / Films / Music
The whole darn movie is pretty emotional. I could also put on here the Graveyard Speech, the actual plane crash, Red's wife running out into the rain. Heck, I'm getting chills now thinking about all those parts. -
I think mine would probably be Close Your Eyes by Parmalee or Burnin' It Down by Jason Aldean. Dirt Road by Kip Moore is also up there as well as Like a Cowboy by Randy Houser.

Smoking pot at and during school...in the lunch room?
se7ens replied to BigVMan23's topic in Controversial Issues
Agreed. No doubt this happened. Pot smoke is easily disposed of if you know what you're doing. -
There is no such thing as a "sugar high/rush." There is no biochemical relation between sugar and hyperactivity.

Which I believe will be the scenario with South Carolina and Alabama. I don't think anyone except each other can beat them this year in the SEC. And they don't play each other in the regular season.

Spurrier vs Spurrier would be the most entertaining thing ever.

I won't take a stab at the seedings just yet, but I'll go South Carolina, Florida St, Ohio State, and South Carolina.

Whiskey tango is a band. I will include their facebook page. I don't think I am familiar with them. Little Nashville doesn't open until evening so I'm not surprised no one is there. https://www.facebook.com/thewhiskeytangoband

I would go to Mt. Adams for either Friday night or Saturday day. If you go at night, hit up the Blind Lemon or Tavern on the Hill. Stay away from Next Chapter, Longworths, and Pavillion. But if you go during the day you have a lot of interesting architecture, including the monastery and churches, to look at and I would then tell you to go to the Pavillion for lunch because the view is UNBEATABLE. I also second the Little Nashville for its music. Jerzees on Monmouth also has a great patio for music out back and is near the Little Nashville. I am not a big fan of the Banks (Toby's, Grail, Tin Roof, etc...) unless I'm with a larger group of guys. I am not a huge fan of Arnie's on the Levee but tomorrow an assistant Covington prosecutor is playing music down there and his band should be right up your alley. And last but not least there is always the Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club. A little out of the way but they usually have great classic rock bands and it is right on the river obviously.

The idea of Cueto pitching for the Cards makes me sick. We can't let that happen. -
Bank of Kentucky Center Double Header

Can somebody confirm this for me - IF (and I know its still a significant IF) Mike Listerman becomes the head coach, this will be the first time Ron Dawn and Mike L have faced each other as head coaches since 2001 when CovCath edged out NCC by 1, correct? -
Former president is joining Grimes in Hazard on the 6th. There is going to be a spike in media coverage on the race this next week between this and Fancy Farm. Alison Lundergan Grimes for U.S. Senate, Kentucky
